And Miramar are the favourites now! 2-1 win over Napier
Idk if I would call them favourites just yet. Only 3-points above Olympic and 5 above suburbs.
Not saying they'll win for sure so much more football to play, but they are obviously the favourite i.e. the most likely team to win right??
I mean sure they're in the lead but I feel like considering Olympic's recent history are we really gonna say a 3-point lead is enough?

Maybe this is just a me thin,g but I feel like with just a 3-point lead Olympic are gonna overtake them sooner or later. You don't win 5 consequtive for nothing, Miramar will have to get a 5+ gap before we can call them the favourites. One loss and it's neck and neck.

But that's just my opinion
And a win today puts Olympic back on top….. Miramar far from favourites. I’ve heard Miramar reserves team are struggling a bit at the moment also.

2nd half should be starting, any news on Karori vs Olympic? Olympic are usually more up to date on their socials about results

Good game out at Endeavour Park despite the lack of goalmouth action at times. You could tell it was two really close teams. Momentum swayed back and forth at points but overall defences dominated.

Really enjoyed the energy from Wests today and think they just about deserved the win - a team without the bigger name players of Miramar/Olympic/Napier but genuinely every player on the park was up to it for them and even the subs off the bench kept the quality going. Honestly, I didn't recognise much of their lineup on paper but they were more than competitive and look really tough to get through defensively. 1 goal conceded against the top 3 now.

Miramar were a bit pedestrian - some passes not connecting, a lot of hopeful long balls, think a lot of their offensive game focussed on forcing mistakes rather than creating opportunities themselves and apart from one hairy moment Wests survived, keeper Quillan Roberts wasn't having it.

Hard to pick standards from this game for either team - it was just a strong team performance from Wests, perhaps centreback/captain Alifeleti Peini was their best and it was a well taken strike from Reilly Marlow-Jones. Bobadilla probably tried the best to make things happen for Miramar, but weren't really any other standouts.

Got to be honest - a lot of focus on the officiating from Miramar especially from one or two players I won't name, Wests just got on with it and I'm sure that played a part in the result. Sure there were some questionable calls here or there like most games but nothing at all major.

The top 4 looking very close indeed now...

Hate to do it but told ya so, Miramar aren't the favouites. We're only halfway through the season and anything could happen but you have to imagine Olympic are gonna start slowly pulling away now.

With that said Miramar and Olympic play each other next round. Fair to say the winner of that (assuming it's not another draw) will become the favourites in the title charge

Upper Hutt 1-0 over the Nix courtesy of a second-half Olimpico that even McCarron couldn’t get a touch on.

Things got pretty feisty towards the end  and Upper Hutt nearly doubled their lead after McCarron got stranded upfield, but the shot landed just in front of goal then bounced over the bar.

Fairs fair, but I stand by the fact that Miramar were favourites before this loss!

Such a close league at the top - all four teams have 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss against each other. And only Wests have dropped points against the rest (2-2 draw vs Karori)
