National League Returns to Dave Farrington
Exodus Team Wellingtons first home game in the 2010/2011 ASB Premiership will mark the return of National League football to Dave Farrington Park in Miramar for the first time in seven years. Ironically, back on the 8th June 2003 Miramar Ranges beat Central United 5-2 in the then National League Preliminary Final in the last game to played at the old Centennial Park. Miramar Rangers subsequently went on to win back to back titles the following weekend in the Grand Final held in Auckland.
It is fitting that Exodus Team Wellington should be hosting Auckland City as ASB Premiership football heads back to Dave Farrington Park given the strong involvement both Miramar Rangers and Central United have on the respective national league franchises.
Miramar Rangers Chairman and Exodus Team Wellington Board Member Peter Chote said, Its very exciting to see National League football in the form of the ASB Premiership back at Dave Farrington Park. The ground holds some wonderful National League memories for me and I hope to see the Wellington football community get out to the game on Saturday, there is something special about Dave Farrington when its full.
The Exodus Team Wellington players are also looking forward to playing on Dave Farrington Park. Captain Karl Whalen said, Our new home ground of Dave Farrington Field is a very special place to play football and we are itching to get out there and make it a fortress.
Coach Stu Jacobs, who has a fine coaching and playing record at Dave Farrington Park said As we all know Dave Farrington Park holds a very special place within a lot of the local football public. I feel very honoured to be able to bring Team Wellington to Dave Farrington Park as our Home Venue. As the last time I guided a team at Dave Farrington Park (Centennial Park) was with Dave on root to successfully securing the National Championship in 2002/3.

On the plus, DF was one of the best surfaces in Wellington this year.
Fuck this stupid game
For those not put off by a 15 min walk...
Coffee at the Larder Room - 133 Darlington Rd - parking available on Darlington Rd.
Coffee at the California Garden Centre - 139 Park Road - parking available on Park Road.
5-10 minutes walk further away is Cafe Polo - great coffee - Rotheram Tce.
Weta Cave Museum is basically on Weka Road - same road as Dave Farrington Park - apparently well worth a look around.

I would much prefer to watch a game at Farrington as opposed to Newtown.....still I'm a cheapo and am going to watch over the fence
Move on?
Nobody is going to go out to miramar.

I just hope it goes back to newtown next season, hearing people say things like "im glad it's back here,I have fond memories" and "I prefer less people anyway,we create a better atmosphere" worries me
