Based on previous experience you would be better off not telling Footballsouth, they have been known to refuse fixture changes in the past

Hobbits v Green Island...

The Hobbits are coming off a good run of large wins, GI still unbeaten, whoever wins takes the cake.

With the Chatham Cup on this weekend anyone know what is the plan with games on saturday

Pretty sure it's up to individual teams themselves to reach an agreement with your opposition and let footballsouth know. Worth doing though, Cavy would love your support at the caley on saturday afternoon!

If you wanted support, then you should've played the game on the Sunday?????

yeah, there are a couple of complications with that. Firstly you have to make sure there isn't another game scheduled for that ground at the same time, and second, if you have a ref appointed, it's not much use them turning up 2 hours after you've finished.

East Coast Bays are coming down on the Friday and flying out on the Sunday - they were always coming down on the Friday whether the game was on Sat or Sun.

As a Dunedin football fan I think everyone should get on down to the Cale on Saturday 2pm - put your club colours away for the day and support Dunedin's representative Caversham! - even I will be.

Truth it's a steal - you can't buy a hell of a lot for $5 these days however it will get you a hell of a game on Saturday.

Yes, well they should take care of the female quarter however as far as football goes you would have to look forward to the youthful exuberance of Jackson and Fleming (Jr).

So Cavey league Champions agian, Otago looking like they'll name a squad about a week b4 the season as usual. Season starts 7 November vs Waikato at home (caledonian).

You'd think that a team that's only dropped 4 points and 8 goals all season should be on top of the table by some distance. Just shows how strong this Caversham side really was. Very unlucky with the Chatham cup quest, but great to see FPL trophy in the correct hands.

Hats off to Steve, Andy, Birchy and the lads. Great season.

How many Christchurch based players are in the Otago United squad this season?
I hear that they are having a training game with a few Woolston Tech and Nomads players tonight {Monday} at Linwood fields.

Really?

I don't mean this as a knock against Otago but after their progress last year and the way in which they played, why get him? 35, now in the solid to overweight category, known more for his 'I'm a hard c**t and I'm gonna smash you' routine than football prowess.

This is a backwards step if you are expecting 90mins out of him. 20mins, well maybe not so bad.
