A small thought to ponder when the nix train 3 x a week what none nix players make up the 11v11 games.

Add to that 3 x team trainings of their own. Just my thought. Effort is most expended in which teams training.

Not sure where you get you info. But I was reliably informed that the TW players that are involved with the nix have only occasionally been training with them.TW was the main trainings!!! As was requested by calcott!

Info 2nd hand from friends who have seen the training. I will stand corrected if this is wrong.

With TW BBQ crew - what more do you want.  You have all day Saturday to earn your Sunday football pass.

If it rains - BBQ will be under cover and ASB tent will be in North Eastern corner. Press boxes will be open.
Great game so get rugged up and turn up.

That was great game. Both teams had plenty of chances and some really good goals by both teams. Faarodo has a goal disallowed for offside...super close from where I was standing.

Man, Kamo and Clapham like to whine though.

I suppose you think an own goal and two clear missed chances makes for a good player.

??? He scored two goals (one a screamer) and was a constant threat.

Why exactly was Clapham the best on the field?

I showed the boys the photo of the person to put the haliciagenics on his sausage. They obviously got it wrong!

Home from a long day. TW run out 4-1 winners over Wanderers FC after a plane delayed game.

I think it would be great for the League for Waitakere not to make the play offs. I know that's a hard thing to justify but I actually want to see a different team in the O League and I also think that Waitakere deserves to have their mickey mouse structure (CEO, coaches, funding, facilities) come crashing down. Also they must have the worst discipline this year. How may times has Chad been tossed? Chuck in 1 for Cardozo, Shelley..... Just a pack of muppets. Say what you like about Rex but Waitakere were a mile better under his watch across the board.

I actually hope that TW make it. I think it would help attract some players in Wellington that chose not to play, to get back out there from summer. I know Gareth Rowe in Canty was always against summer football because he could not be assed with it but when you know you will be in the O League, that may help some Welly guys say 'I want to be in that' and thus make themselves available.

You sir, are absolutely correct.

For the bonus point, what season and who was the coach.

Couldnt even make playoffs when it was a top5 that year

Only time Otago Utd/Southern Utd have made playoffs as well

I watched them play at Douglas Field that season, before they built the stand, I don't think it was against Team Wellington.

Kept getting Wylie and Cole mixed up.

That season was the only time before this season that Otago have beaten Waitakere. Not a great omen ahead of this week.

I previewed this weekend's game between Team Welly and WaiBOP, and also researched whether momentum matters going into the ASB Prem playoffs - Do sides who lose their last round encounter struggle in the semifinals?
