Team Wellington... no longer an association with Ole. Chur

Thank you sirs. One of the more enjoyable pieces I've written this year. Interesting to note how some of the commonly noted theories - winning streaks, momentum etc, aren't as key as most players/coaches say they are at this time of year.

TW will be carrying some serious momentum into the finals now.

Joel Stevens seems to have hit a rich run of form recently, nice to see the move north is working for him.

And injury free (I hope)

ACFC - Phoenix/TWs fans' new favourite team

Today will be great cause either Waitakere get knocked out or they win and play ACFC in the semis. That's never happened in the comps history but they won't beat ACFC across 2 legs. TWs ACFC final?

Grumpy old bastard alert

Tee Dubs been in two grand finals (both to Waitak) and lost both. The nearly men.

Glad to see ACFC didn't ease up against HBU and do anyone else favours. If HBU were to make the O League then they had to prove it on the field and they didn't unfortunately.

So TW have reached the O League if ACFC win the final. Hope Wellington's football supporters get behind them.

Hope Canterbury make it through to the playoffs today.

So how do the finals work then? (For the non-coalface among us)

Two-legged semifinal. Home and away. 1 v 4, 2 v 3

Whatever result happens in the Auckland v Waitakere semi final, there's gonna be at least one pretty significant outcome.
An Auckland win in the SF means Tee Dubs (or HBU if they win the GF) play OFC Champions League for the first time.
A Waitakere win in the SF means the final will be outside Auckland for the first time in the history of the ASB Prem/NZFC.

Exciting stuff really.

It throws up a weird situation where TW probably don't want the home final as an away final means that they've qualified for the O league.

Usually you'd be hoping the top team lost their game in the semis if you were the 2nd placed team

Tegal,

Think more positive. A home final and  win the ASB championship.

A dog with a bone :)

So no dates or times for the semi finals yet?

You'd have to fancy Wellington for that 2015 O League spot now. They have the momentum over HBU. Certainly be interesting to see local fan reaction if TW win the right to host the ASBP final. Where do you think they'd hold it, Newtown Park?

Might do a deal with the Nix to use the Stadium...but otherwise yeah Newtown Refrigerator Stadium.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

It's an automated website run by a third party.

It'll be fixed once NZF contact them about the problem by fax in a few years. Calm down.

Obviously you should be more aware of who runs which website , from where , when ,and how accurate they are likely to be , otherwise , how dare you call yourself a " football fan "

How do's it go with Beer and computers shit in - shit  out. I set up my #Steineken well - so the back ground formula for Fox Sporting Pulse embedded in NZF site should be setup. Someone is paying the bill.
All in the name of fun.

Ok I admit I will miss not only the Nix in Melbourne but the ASB Final. Both are scheduled to compete with the first round of the new F1 season. I said I was a Fan. But F1 booked 11 maths ago.

It is a NZF website though, that screenshot was taken from asbpremiership.co.nz.
It has been correct now though, but you can't blame anyone for thinking that the fixtures listed on the official league website's fixtures page would be correct.

All good as the update time for the FSP site was like 00.23 - I did presume no one had looked at the next fixture.
