Rafa with his 'facts'. Hero. Rafa, f**k the haters (and sarcastic lovers). The amound of humility you show when every f**ker in the U.K is trying to bring you down is superb. Please turn our season around. Actions speak louder than words and all that. Jose can get f**ked. He does feel the hurt, just like the rest of us. Time for the players to do him some favours.

I don't think Perennial strugglers Liverpool can afford to fire Rafa, they rewarded him with a new 5 year contract in March last year for 'almost' winning the league. Now it will cost them 22 mil to fire the man. So hee can be as eternally sh*t as he likes, I think he'll outlast the owners.
Have a bit of sympathy or Gary Megson though, recently fired from Bolton - a side with expectations of avoiding relegation. His record in the last 20 games was 7 wins, 7 losses and 6 draws. Rafa's record in the last 20; 10 losses, 6 wins and 4 draws.  And that for a side with title hopes!
I admire your patience with this man Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans. His insistence on defending zonally at set pieces leaves you even less capable of defending them than Arsenal, and trust me, Arsenal are bad. The transfers of all those no - hopers, blowing over 100 million pounds on Babel, Bellamy, Keane, Riera, Dossena, Lucas, Voronin, Sissoko, Pennant, Crouch and Zenden. I mean, really?

He's going to need to repreat some of his magic to turn his fortunes around:

Great touch! He can't be any worse than some of the other sh*te.

Also, I think it's harsh to include Bellamy and Momo in there. We made a profit on Momo, and he was boss until he got an eye injury or something. And Bellamy we made a profit on too, although we never found his best form. Babel, Keane, Dossena (although those 4th goals will ensure he isn't forgotten in a hurry!) and Pennant I'd agree with. Zenden, Voronin were on a free, Lucas has done alright, Crouch did what he was asked and we also made a profit (and he helped contribute toward us being able to afford GJ). Riera also has done well enough, and has suffered largely from an injury this season.

I don't especially like picking out all his bad signings out. Reina, Torres, Masch, Alonso, transformed Carra and Stevie, GJ, Insua, Benayoun, Agger, Skrtel (although I dunno what's happened this season) even Ngog were all good signings. Some even fantastic signings. Aurelio could be great if he was fit also. This is simply off the top of my head. And you've yet to see Pacheco!!!

And yeah, that's the rumour about our financial statement.

Oh, and thanks for the admiration! Although I'm beginning to fear many are losing patience with him.

don't look at it as two points dropped in the chase for 6th place
look at it as 1 point gained, away from home against a team that plays great football.

Meh. I'm actually not too gutted! Considering only about 6 of those players would play in the first team, Stoke is a difficult place to go and there was a lot more fight out there than in recent weeks. Ngog struggled but got no help from the referee, Kuyt could have been a hero *sigh* as usual. Lucas booking was a joke. But it is so great to have Javier and Reina back. Reina is fantastic. Skrtel and the Greek lad () played very well. I was pretty happy with the performance overall. And Rafa's press conference was superb. Taking the piss out of that prick. Special mention to Pulis too, for his good answers. Spurs next... Going to be a huge game, particularly with their draw against Hull and Everton's win against City.

What? We're battling for fourth place.

Skrtel looked crap, most of the game he was jittery and not confident; Letting balls bounce misjudging headers. Kyrgiakos was good at the back, he and Insua did well. Most disappointed by Degen he was crap in the first half, twice we had a player wide open & for some reason he would dwell on the ball, did win the freekick that led to the goal though.

Another 90th minute goal conceded , like a role reversal from last season.

If only Carragher had stayed on the back post things might have been a little different

Respect. A good call. Rafa has, time and time again, backed his players. He hardly ever publicly critisises them. And they seem unable to put in a decent shift for the man! But that comment is so true.

some of it also has to come back to the manager, if he cant get the best out of his players hes not the right man for the job

Yeah fair point  but it's not the manager who decides to walk away from the back post gifting Robert Huth an easy equaliser in the last minute of the game

Perennial strugglers Liverpool are terrible from set plays they never have players on the posts or play man to man rather than zonal that is the Manager taking control of ste plays its not the first time in the last 10 minutes to lose maximum points.

Always I say the same: In a lot of the past five years our defence on set plays has been excellent. Also, if you analyse it, we play a mixture of both man-to-man and zonal. Also, you can't blame Rafa if somebody fails to win a header. When it happens to us, the blame goes on the manager, when it happens to United/Chelsea the blame goes to the player.

if it happens once or twice its easier to blame the player but if the same mistakes are happening week in week out for over half a season blame tends to turn to the manager

Downey you're fighting a losing battle here. Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans think Rafa is a god. In their eyes he can do no wrong. So as long as they're happy with his management of the club they'll never win anything ever again.

Big big call, my friend.

Villa draw this morning against Hammers, so nobody really gained points on us. Which I guess makes it even more frustrating that we couldn't hold out!
