It would seem there are basically not Liverpool supporters in the Liverpool thread...

Just me? Still... The Premiership and the Champions League within grasp. It's okay. Dwyer2009-02-05 12:01:00

European Cup, lad. Not UEFA! To be honest, I didnt expect a lot from this game. Worst thing was losing Gerrard and going into extra-time but not even gtting the result. Loved the socks, mind! Easy to point to the ref, Wiley, but we played for penalties for about 45 minutes, so we just about deserve what we got. Still heart-breaking though.

Yeah I had to edit that one, realised after I posted...
Gutted. Never mind. Still, we have a few things lined up and to look forward to.
Hopefully....

Well done on taking Everton to extra time.

Hopefully some tired bodies for our clash with them this weekend

Happy to see Keane back at Spurs, looks like you could have used him last night.

Please take Lucas too. He is garbage. Don't know why Rafa keeps playing him.

Haha reminds of me of something i saw on this website.

Lucas for 20 million: We'll pay you 20 million to take him.

Three for me, and two for them.

. Thats true! But, over the three games we played you in, you've defo come out better off! DVD out soon, I'm sure?

Gerrard out for three weeks, I hear. Gonna miss the Real Madrid game... Who's gonna help Torres get one over his old rivals for the Atleti and Reds fans?! Bad news though. We really didnt need him injured.

I struggle with Lucas. He was far and away our best player until he got his first (and awful) yellow card. Then he had to wtihdraw befor he finally mistimed that tackle. Its so strange, he can't tackle very well, so why play him holding midfielder?

However, he is always there for a pass, knocks the 10 yard passes around well and runs like a demon. He could develop into a fine player, but its whether he can do it in the Prem. You dont get to captain the U-20 Brazil side by being hopeless.

Apparently Liverpool are appealing Lucas' 1 match ban...

...they want it extended to 10.

Three for me, and two for them.

Out soon ?? mate i'm picking you could have picked a copy up as you left the stadium

You guys need a win or else the confidence in the team, if it already hasn't, is going to nose dive. Rafa has taken a lot of the heat off you guys lately with his rant about Sir Alex, but someone needs to start looking at the team itself.
Someone(maybe Alonso) needs to step into the breach and take over for Steven Gerrad while he's out or you'll be right in the sh!t

Yeah. I thought the Chelsea win would have helped it. But thats sent it back down. Mm, a lot of people dont realise that Rafa's rant helped take pressure off our team too. Yeah, somketimes we play better without Gerrard, but if we need a goal, nobody steps up like he does. And hes such a great player for us, we need him. Alonso has, in my opinion, been the best player in the league this season. So its time he showed it!

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.  I swear these guys will be the death of me.

Inspired substitutions.

All I can say is...

His armband proved he was a Red...Torres, Torres
You'll never walk alone it said....Torres, Torrres
We brought the lad from sunny Spain
He gets the ball, he scores again
FERNANDO TORRES - Liverpool's number nine!

Whew! Thought we were gone for all money...

Hard one to watch alright, was getting the sinking feeling that the race to the title was over, but the lads pulled through!

Back on top, here's hoping we stay there...

. He gets on with things quietly- lets Gerrard do all the heroics. But, as we saw against Pompey- instant impact. The guy is really class. But now, without Gerrard, he needs to alter his role slightly. Is what I meant.

Is right! Haha, Kuyt made a really strong impact. His disallowed goal looked onside, but ah well. Alonso, as ever, was class. Ryan...what a miss! Too bad Nugent scored. Cannot stand him. But 3 points! Bring on City! And here's hoping for no injuries in internationals.

rafa benitez.....lets start with 6 defenders against a team with the threat of relegation! although we got there in the end. At least Lucas didn't come on! Bit harsh maybe...bring on REAL

A tad harsh...although think that was cos he was suspended! I thought he did well against Everton and was pretty unlucky to be sent. But ah well... Think we have City first, or is that after Real?
