Was not the game I would like to see him playing in, smart move I'd say on Rafa's part after seeing what the game came to.

I do agree in the fact that it may not have been the "right" game to play aqua in but how often has rafa used that excuse? Got to remember that we are scrapping it out for 4th at home and he puts out two defensive mid players. If the game ended in a draw with 11 v 11 Rafa would be slammed for fielding a too defence minded team and leaving Aqua o the bench. Luckly the lack of midfield go forward worked out alright because we went down to 10 men and needed hard work in the midfield to close everton down.

4-2-3-1, actually... So two defensive midfielders, but three attacking ones!

Agreed. Aquilani will now go and destroy Arsenal, like!

Well done Dirk Kuyt...he is the ugliest mo fo's around but he has been one of our best players this year. Other results were good for us as well.

Dirk's been the man!

Arsenal on Thursday! Looking at this season if we ever had a chance of beating them it's this Thursday. Have to kick 'em while their down. The 3 points is critical with Citeh up against Bolton, Spurs v Wolves and Villa against Mancs. I'll be backing the Devils for once to keep Villa at bay. Hopefully Bolton can pull finger...

Dirk was poor for a large part of the first half of the season. But he is doing extremely well at the moment. He tends to have these little purple patches. Top man, though.

Yip, it would be great to win at the Emirates! Although I'd take a draw to be quite honest. We have hardly been good this season!

Looking forward to the game tomorrow lads. Should be a good one.

PS. I used your idea of an accented o to get around the world filter thing for my preview in the Arsenal thread

Oh, and one more thing. Permission to call it the Yellow Fever derby (on account of the 'wars' between Arsenal and Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans on here )

Totally! Huge game, especially with Citeh getting 3 points this morning. Need ManU to step up and take Villa to keep them at bay. Wolves at home to Spurs should be good too. Go you Wolves!

El derbi feverista! But they aren't wars!

Yeah, hopefully a good game. With plenty of goals and an away win!! So excited, although perhaps should be a bit mindful. Also, don't think I'll wag school to watch it- because the last time I tried that trick: Perennial strugglers Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea. So come on, Reds!!

We'll see about the Indian. I don't want to get too excited for it. That has happened several times.

I guess he is suspended. Which is a shame- although not a lot of physical presence up front. Also, be careful taking the piss out of players before the game! See: Zamora vs 'Pool.

Oh, lame about Alberto. Think he would have done alright in this game.

I read an article somewhere this afternoon during work saying that our defence has got 10x better since Glen johnson has been injured......bad news for him. El-Nino I stand by my Bendtner call. Love the El-Derbi Feverista though!

Yeah, but our attack has got 10 times worse! (actually, that could be the absence of a certain Fernando Torres...) Yeah, I don't especially rate him- but you're a brave man, for sure! Yeah, easy enough to remember!

Ngog > Voronin. (Who thankfully is gone). Well, there isn't anyone else who can play up front on their own. And I thik Ngog is alright to be fair. Red-tinted glasses and all that!

I don't think he'll ever be the most popular player after that crap he pulled against birmingham right when he was coming onto the scene.

I'm not really sure. Maybe cover for Torres? I think if Torres is fit, then Gerrard behind him is incredible and wouldn't swap that for anybody in the world.

Hehe not too much love i hope. In fairness though it's probably the fixture with the most interest on here outside of any Nix or AWs matches. HUGE game in the scope of this season too.
