Thought Carroll put himself around well. We all know by now he's not worth anywhere near the price we paid for him, but he was good today. Won a lot of flick-ons, worked hard for the team, and put in good clearances. Guilty of squandering chances, but we're in the final thanks to his goal.

Think Jones (the keeper)is 30 too? Very proud of him though. Emotional time for him, so made up it went well. He did his son Lucaproud

Yeah, Spearing was playing really poorly tbh.

Agree I thought Carroll had a massive game his work rate was right up there.

What a week aye?!

Carroll scores a winner v Blackburn

Owners fly in *insert cat amongst the pigeons*

Owners leave *pigeons well shaken* Notice served to all and sundry.

We beat the Bitters! Off to Wemberlee again.

Carroll scores the winner, again.

Say what you want about Carroll, he lumbers around but he's been getting stuck in recently. Just needs to convert a few more chances.

Cruyff has just signed a deal with Ajax hasn't he? I think he's been consulted rather than approached as DoF. Word is his recommendation is Txiki Begiristain, the man who set Barca's wheels in motion at the end of the Rijkaard era and installed Guardiola as manager. Creme de la creme.

Fun times.

From @RoyHendo on Begiristain: [Interesting read]

@Royhendo: Duncan Castles in Sunday Times saying Cruyff has recommended Beguiristain. The boy Cruyff done good.

Castles is pretty reliable too. Same with Roy who who came out about Begiristain before Castles did.

If you read Tom Werner comments carefully.
He states :
"We've had a strategy that we have agreed on. There was some disconnect on the implementation of that".
"That strategy is a strong one and it will continue. We need to build a strong system under the first team."

So for me Comoli actually fired for not signing enough young players with potential who could be developed into first team players. If you have a look only Danny Ward and Jordan Ibe who were signed in Jan 2012 meet this criteria.

All the rest of the players signed under Comoli tenure as DOF were signed to come straight into the first team.

Had a look on google re those shoes and it led me to a vid of LeBron handing out beats by dre headphones out to the LFC squad during his visit. Not just any beats by dre headphones thou special Liverpool ones with the liverbird on it. I'm not a fan at all of these status orientated overpriced cans but damn they looked hot!

All gone quiet lads? Very interesting line up against norwich I though today with henderson and shelvey playing in the deeper role. And suarez's 3rd goal fantastic!

Three great goals from Suarez. Shame Carroll got "injured". Fulham tomorrow then the FA Cup final! Nice to see Shelvey get a decent run too

I'm a bit annoyed the Fulham games is next, I want the cup right now. Should be a cracker final, both teams finding a bit of form and goals.

Oh and word is that the LFC accounts are being made public tomorrow. That will be very interesting reading and will give us a good indication as to what might be available for the summer spending (or not as the case may be)

Hard to know what to make of this game , Norwich were sh*t.But some random thoughts
1. Hendo much better in a more central role
2.Shelvey may turn out to be a decent player ; thought he did OK
3.Enrique had a better game than has been usual for him lately
4.If Suarez had been doing that all year , we may well have been in the top 4 mix.Stunning goals but I especially like the clinical fininshing in the first 2.
5.WHat exactly did Downing do?

Still , bit of form leading into Fulham then Wemberlee here we come!!

Torres just scores a hatrick too...bad sign for the weekend?!

^^^^^ Big questions have to be asked of Downing huh? At least the other summer signings have shown some glimpses of their class (and I include Andy Carroll in this)

That third goal is absolutely gorgeous. Goal of the season.

AGree EN but it wasn't my favourite of his.THat third goal is so special ( a bit like Crouchie's volley from a few weeks ago) that one or 2 a season is OK.Why I like the first two more was that they were the sort of goals a 20M pound striker should be scoring at a rate of 20-25 a year. They were clinical , accurate, ,powerful strikes; we just haven't seen enough of them this season.

Yup, was great to see him finishing like that (although he did miss that one where he went for the chip!). Definitely the sort of clinical-ness (?) that we've been missing. Still, three superb goals. That second goal... Brilliant finish. What a player he is.

I'd like to think he wouldn't have tried to chip it like that if he didn't have to in the bag already, was far too cheeky for my liking! You could probably say the same about the third too really.

Seriously up for this weekend! Newcastle's win over Chelsea was a shot across the bow for the Londoners. Not as invincible as they thought they were..

I don't know who I want to lose the most.  Possibly the chavs.

Should have been Spurs vs Toffees...

New kit out today, I like it quite understated.  And 96 on the back very touching

Wow understandable with the owners it would be an American brand but strange not seeing an Adidas kit on Liverpool! Gotten quite used to it ...and there goes the (remote) possibility of an Adidas sponsored visit by Liverpool to Aussie/NZ in the off season in future.

Disappointed as I think that he did not have the players.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
