To see a good example of how bad Liverpool have become watch for repeat/you tube clips.
For anyone that watched the Nextgen series semi final on ESPN last week.
Spanked 6 nil by Ajax including a Lpool penalty miss.
So this is the future of Liverpool with Sterling & Coady playing.

Jono, bellamy and carroll starting, has kenny relized that downing and henderson have not been cutting the mustard?

interesting fact when carroll has not started we have won 38% of our games when he has started it jumps to 62%. Would not have picked that!

Game on!

1st half again we start well with pressure and we can't capitalize and score a freaking goal! WTF carroll was doing I do not know, would have be easier to slot in than dive like that. Woeful dive in from spearing too for a very sharp ben arfa to put in the cross

We really need to do some hard thinking to get out of this slump. Was calling for Woys head a lot earlier than this and, as much as I hate to say this, I think that KK might not be the best man for the job.

Our squad is hardly imposing, and the lack of performance from our big $ signings is a real worry. You'd think that, if we sign c**ts for millions of dollars that we'd have the facilities an ability to keep them performing at or above the level that made us buy them in the first place, but it seems like we're just killing off the new blood and undercutting ourselves on the tf market at the same time.

Sitting in an Irish pub in India at the moment and may have had a few too many to keep my perspective in check, but the last few months have been f**king depressing LFC wise and I just need to let it out.

Love this club till I drop stone cold, just really, really, really, really, really want us to wake the f**k up and live up to our reputation of old.

COYR!!!!!

Is kenny really the right man to take us forward?

Can't wait for the season to end

Not based on his performance so far.

Have to wonder how much rope the new investors are willing to give him...

I'm a sad Panda.

I'm trying to gather my thoughts in a constructive way but there's a lot of conflicting emotions swirling around...

Might just need to ride this storm out a bit longer. League's a non issue, got nothing to gain or lose by final position other than pride. I think we'll get some answers in in the FA semi. If we can't show fight & determination against the bitters for the cup then the players truly have lost all hope...

No Reina in the FA Cup semi is the worst thing about that game. Knew we would lose. Players don't give a f**k in the league, which is sad.

Agree. We will see what that squad is made of in just under 2 weeks. If they don't show a bit of fight, they can f**k off.

NOt very calm at moment , reminded me in so many ways of the Bolton debacle.Too may players seem to be going through the motions and don't appear to give a f..k. Not good enough.

Was Kenny the right appontment at the time? ABsolutely , brought a degree of solidity and calmness to the Woy era.
Is he the right man for the next few years? A few weeks ago , I would have said yes. Now , I'm not sure. The rest of the season will define my answer there for me.
The league now gives an opportunity for some fringe /youth players to be given a go and see what they've got.I don't mean start the reserves but introduce one or 2 and see how they go. We now know what we get from Carroll , Downing , Adam and Hendo.Unfortunately , the answer is mostly f... all. Juast a shame it cost so much to find out. I still think Hendo may turn out to be a good player. The others- just f..k off.Carroll is an absolute disgrace , as well as being a donkey. We also know that some players in the team are just not good enough.
Kenny is copping an awful lot-but I would just like to ask 2 other questions. Is Comoli above reproach here? ANd are we actually fit enough? The attitude clearly stinks so I guess it doesn't matter how fit you are if you haven't got the bollocks.

FA semi is now crucial in a number of ways.WIn and questions remain unanswered; a temporary false dawn appears again. Lose and they are all answered.

The following are just some random questions floating around in my head. I don't necessarily have answers or even a point of view on most, simply posing questions. Some need answering before the start of next season. We are rebuilding but rebuilding should show progress and plans. A blueprint.

Where is the blueprint?

What's different now than to the first half of the season?

Publicly Kenny's defended his players time and time again. Has he ripped them a new one in private or do they get the same message fluffy message as us?

Why do the players appear as they they don't give a f? In what have they lost confidence in? Kenny approach to games or their own physical inabilities?

First half of the season was by in large ok. A few hiccups but showing promise. A few 'bad luck' calls, injuries and a racism charge later are players simply feeling the pressure and cracking?

What are FSG thinking right now? Several months ago they watched their Red Sox team capitulate exactly like LFC are right now. Red Sox missed the play offs which is essentially like missing top four or European qualification. Their long time coach Terry Francona and GM Theo Epstein who had taken them to two world series were dumped at the end of the season. On par with a Comolli/Kenny pairing. Difference here is DC/KD just starting out.

Comolli must take some of the responsibility. He's said all along that he & KD worked together as a team. 50/50. Kenny had the final say but DC surely collated/approved the players for Kenny to choose from. Ultimately it's the managers job to make the players tick and gel.

Has Kenny done the job set before him which was to unify the club and get it back on it's feet? Realistically he was probably set 2 years to do that. He probably did it in 6 months. Job well done. But does it mean he should continue?

In the event that Kenny is removed/resigns at the end of the season where to next? Rafa is the easy answer but how do FSG feel about bringing back a 'former manager the fans adore and has won trophies and seen success previously'? Buyer beware...

What's our plan tactically? Youth set ups all appear to play 4231 or 433 variant. Why are the seniors different? Surely seniors set the benchmark and the youth follow. We're on two different plains at present.

Do we get cash to spend in the summer? How much? Whose spending it and on what? Given the previous question on tactics/formation how do we choose players if we don't know how we're playing.

More questions?

The simple answer is Lucas. We have little or no control over the midfield anymore. Perfect example was bossing City, a midfield which had largely over-run anything and anyone that came in its path. Then suddenly we're getting destroyed by Bolton?

Gerrard shouldn't be playing centre-mid. Stevie is a phenom, but stick up to support the striker. His positioning is not good enough for the centre. He roams all over the place and Spearing, while okay, is no Lucas.

I do agree re: the blueprint. Where are we going? At the back  end of last season, we were playing some great football, winning and we looked class. Then we bought (British) players and fell to pieces. None of them fit at all how we were playing last season. Suarez, Maxi, Raul and Kuyt.. nothing like Carroll, Adam, Downing.

Kenny brought the club together, but if he hadn't been appointed full time, it would've been hell for any manager who followed him. People would be asking for Kenny back after one loss.

Don't think Rafa can come back, as much as I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Too soon for many people- don't forget many people hated him before he left.

Players not giving a f**k annoys me. Regardless of where we are in the League, should always play to win and have some pride and fight in that shirt. And yeah, I hope Kenny rips into them in private.

If we buy players, can we please not buy third rate british players.

He let in 7 against United at OT.

Think he did do well in one of his appearances for us early on, but he broke a finger or something? Not confident at all though.

Awkward for Brad Jones. Given the #1 but in reality the #3.

Doni is alright. Nothing special but will do the job. Can't remember any high profile mistakes of his.

Three for me, and two for them.

Alright.......... CHEER UP LADS. I've finished self imposed Liverpool protest. 1 man can make a difference!!.

I've been reading some articles saying that if we win the FA cup all will be forgiven by FSG and kenny will stay on. If we lose the FA cup, I'm sure Kenny will gracefully move to the backroom and someone else will come in.

Pretty big game this weekend though
