Anyone actually think we will beat City? I'm going for yes, I think we can!

It amazes me how fast these appear. Maybe the internet is for more than just cat gifs.

reddit.com/r/soccer  is great for finding gifs about 5 minutes after they happen. They usually get upvoted to the top of the match threads pretty quickly, or you can use RES to find them automatically.

I just answered them all with Rogers, and got 8/14. It checks out.

3-1 down on aggregate against Zenit. Can't help but feel like it might be too much of an ask without Sturridge?

3-2 at half time, may have spoken too soon. Come on lads!

Suarez with a third! Game on!

Good effort by Liverpool, it's a shame about the away goals rule. Would have been great for that game to go to extra time.

Agreed. I was just following text updates, sounded like a cracking game.

What position do we have to finish to get Europe? I know 4th for Champs league quals but what about Europa?

Permalink Permalink
about 13 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

Only place that guarantees a Europa league spot is 5th. If the FA Cup is won by a top 5 team who beat another top 5 team in the final, then 6th place will also get a Europa spot.

I was thinking, what would be the ideal score for the Arse/ Everton game from our perspective? Cant decide so good luck anyone.

Great result for us though, finally beat a top 4 team.

Didn't realise there was a 'Pool thread! Good win yesterday, stoked to finally hold on to one over a top four club. Thanks to spurs for a couple of gifts! Watched with my spurs mate so a good time to get a result!

Do we believe we can keep up this momentum? Things seem to be going well.

Permalink Permalink
about 13 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

We should certainly roll Southampton this weekend, seem to be flat track bullies in games like these. Choosing to be optimistic here and going with a big yes! Suarez is cranking, our new "actual Brazilian" is at least giving us a bit more creativity forward and wide, game on.

And we have one of the easier runs in from here.

Permalink Permalink

Will be nice to be under the radar a bit too huh? I'm not expecting 4th but could be pleasantly surprised

Permalink Permalink
about 13 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

Haha yeah my thoughts exactly. The pressure is certainly on other clubs to stay where they are, spurs and chelsea still have euro commitments, not holding my breath but would be hilarious.

Permalink Permalink
about 13 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

Well, that sums it up. lose a game we should have won. Everton and the arse win too

Permalink Permalink

Had work early so was gonna watch when I got home but got a spoiler text (some people!) so sounds like I'll save myself some anguish. My bad sorry Tyler, think I jinxed it badly in an earlier post. Merrrrrrrrrrr

I blame you Groff, you should have kept your mouth shut...actually I'm getting superstitious. Every time time I watch we lose.  Think I might take the rest of the season off. Loving your avatar too.

Haha we'll share the blame then eh? Could just be that this is just what we have to deal with nowadays. Sad.

Yeah cheers bro, I too like to shake the top rope furiously before games.
