Another frustrating loss. I'm starting to get sick of seeing Liverpool play out of their skins and still lose, as we did last night and against Man City a few weeks ago. Given that we were down to ten men last night and had several questionable decisions go against us, I think we did bloody well to be fair, but being able to hold your head up high is not the same as having points on the table.

I've been impressed with the young players, Sterling and Suso did well last night too, but it seems like relying on players like that might have a long term payoff, with the possibility of several more frustrating losses in the mean time.

The only bright spot is that if we play like we did last night, we should start picking up three points with some 'easier' games coming up in Norwich, Stoke and Reading. The sooner we get out of that relegation zone the better.

no one gets relegated in September. stick with this Rodgers guy though he looks like a good fit for your mob (in a complementary way)

Only the first episode of 6 is on Sky atm. Watched it last night. Wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Was good seeing a few of the players inside their homes etc as well.

Sterling is the goods. Most of our other players though...

Why only the 1st?  I series linked it and the 2nd episode was due to be recorded tonight (pretty sure it was like that this morning when I watched the game).  Just checked it was good to go now and it's disappeared from the schedule....eh?

Exactly. Went to watch it and there's the netball replay across the whole timeslot on skysport1  .Wtf?  Nice work Sky.

Episode 2 was on last night (Wednesday early evening). All about the US tour. Showed that BR is first & foremost a coach; secondly seems to be trying to bring on the young players & thirdly is going to play a style of footy that he wants to play. I admire it but I wonder how long the owners have in their minds to give him?

Apparently episode 3 deals with transfer deadline. that could be interesting especially of Andy Carroll drama is covered.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

Just caught up with the highlights of the cup win over West Brom. This bit of commentary stood out "Suso lays it off for Assaidi who crosses, Sahin scores". Clearly a classic lineup of 'Pool veterans ;)

Good to see the kids get a run and prove themselves. Assaidi especially looks like one to watch, very Sterling-esque.

I was uncharacteristically optimistic watching the game this morning. Some of these kids really do look to have the goods. I'm sure given their youth there will be the odd hiccup along the way, but here's hoping that at least a few of them come through and be real stars for Liverpool in the not to distant future.

What a relief to finally get a win this morning! We saw the best and worst of Suarez within 30 seconds today, missing a sitter and then poaching one out of nowhere straight afterwards. Not getting carried away, but it's nice to be out of the relegation zone.

Yes not getting carried away as norwich were very very average today.  Shelvey is going to struggle to get off the bench looking at the way sahin played.  Suso was pretty solid imo.  Really enjoying the younger players getting a chance.  More of the same please

Agree with you above. The new Liverpool youth are getting a decent crack at it from Rodgers and for the most part his confidence in them  and encouragement he gives them is starting to bear fruit. Is early days, but the mix of youth and experience seems to be nicely balanced at the moment.

 Dare I say it ...Brendon's Babes ??

Holy smoke bags I'm getting annoyed with Sky's lack of organization when it comes to airing a six part series!!!!  It should go 1,2,3,4,5,6!!!  Not 1,2,2,3,3......You would think it's not that hard! )*^%*&%*&$&!!!!!!!

And then comes the Stoke game this morning.........moving right along!

I'm no Liverpool fan, in fact I like laughing at them TBH

but Suarez gets a pummeling and it passes by with seemingly no comment, yet his theatrics cause outrage. I'm in favor of retospective punishment for diving but also banning managers who select a team of hackers.

So what happens if all you have is a team of hackers?

Then you'll do well against Liverpool..especially if you target Suarez..cos the refs will ignore all but the most blatant efforts. ;-)

Its a cracker Tyler! High intensity, plenty of feeling, good start but Everton didn't waste time coming back.

Think we were lucky to get a point to be honest. So much controversy in this game. Up next Swansea!

What was good to see that Rodgers changed the formation and made two subs at half time rather than keep persisting with plan A.   Half time could not have come quick enough, we were under the pump after they equalized.  Just happy to see Suarez get thru unscathed.  Great celebration too!

Add a terrible error by Brad Jones just on halftime to allow the Latics to go in 2-1 at the break.   Epic lols

No home goal in two years (?) and we make him look like a white Drogba. Congrats though, good luck for the rest of the Cup :)
