No but have been seriously considering it. I see your facebook post about needing 15 members to become an officially affiliated supporters club. How many members do you currently have?

Sorry mate, missed this somehow.

Have 8 so far, need another 7. Need to convince some guys to pass up their member number as some are reluctant to.

Yes mate, unofficial at this stage but I'm trying to make it official.

If you are on twitter follow @LFCWellington or Facebook here https://m.facebook.com/LFCWellington?ref=bookmark

You're not an LFC International Member by any chance?

If you can wait until my next payday, I'll join up as an International Member as well to help out. If anyone else is keen...

No pressure but need to submit app on 30th Sept.

Will send new shoutout tomorrow explaining more which might help those affiliated with LFCNZ be convinced it's ok to belong to 2 supporters clubs. Just need a few more

LFC WELLINGTON POST: Official Liverpool Supporters Club

WHY DOES LFC WELLINGTON WANT TO GO OFFICIAL?

The main driver for applying to turn LFC Wellington into an OFFICAL Liverpool Supporters Club (LSC) is to increase our chance of getting special licenses approved for games that fall outside of bar licensing hours. By scheduling certain gatherings as Official meetings (we will need to have an AGM) it may help us get around some issues we had earlier this year such as with the game on Easter weekend.

Another reason is to try and pull fans of Liverpool who live in Wellington together at one central point – our fan hub the ‘Kings Road End’ at Four Kings. I believe that currently there are LFC fan gatherings at a few bars around greater Wellington and it would be great to be able to bring all Wellington-based fans together. In addition to this, when LFC fans from around the country visit Wellington they will know that Four Kings is the place to be.

With LFC coming back to Australia and looking to build stronger ties with their supporters clubs (5 Times Tour) I want to create a link with them. LFC Australia promote us heavily, as do LFCANZ, it makes sense that we work together where possible.

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?

If you are an LFC International Member, please send me your name and Membership number. We need 15 LFC International Members to complete the application process by the 30th Septemberand so far we have 13 member’s details. There is no guarantee that we will be granted status but given NZ is not saturated with Official Supporters Clubs we stand a good chance. If you are not a member and would like to help out by becoming an LFC International member go to this link:

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/membership/membership-home/international

Please note; you will still be able to be an LFC Wellington member if you do not have an Official LFC Membership

LFC Wellington was set up with the sole focus of bringing people together to watch LFC games. This won’t change if the club becomes official. Success is built on people turning up to games and spreading the word that the group exists. Everyone that walks through the door is important to the LFC Wellington supporter club success.

Please contact me if you want to know more (can do via LFC Wellington on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/LFCWellington?ref=bookmark or on twitter @LFCWellington)

F*ckin Sommet Sports cut out on me at beginning of extra time! Gah!

I didn't think to watch it on Sommet, that would have been gutting.  I just watched in on the net.

Crazy, crazy game. I appreciate that we had a very young team out but there were plenty of big names on the field. We are seriously struggling. Let's hope we knock the bitter blues over at the w/end and then push on from there.

Same as Champs league, we scraped through, Doesn't matter if its ugly, we are trying to mold a lot of players into this team.

What has happened to Suso? He was the next big thing, same thing happened to Daniel Pacheco

I don't think he pushed on as expected while on loan - started off well and then faded. He does bring attacking intent though which could be useful with Coutinho off the boil. Sterling plays well there but has too much value out wide.

Rodgers is learning the hard way on how to rotate a squad and how he can;t play such a pressing, exhausting game when there is another match in 3 or 4 days but they'll get there, just requires a bit more time and experience. Managing a huge club saw Rodgers struggle his first year and then succeed the next, the same is happening now that he's become comfortable with that but now has Europe and increased expectation to deal with.

Bringing Valdes into the team would have a good impact, he's more of a general and a brilliant distributor from the back. We have good defenders individually, but no defensive organiser.

Well that was a bit shark. Dear Mr Sturridge, get better asap. Dear Mr Hodgson, if Mr Sturridge recovers only for you to get him injured again in some stupid-ass friendly against Malta there will be hell to pay. Hell. To. Pay.

I thought it was only mentalists on RAWK who were bitter at Hodgson for Sturridge being out.

Three for me, and two for them.

I wondered why people were angry at Roy for the injury. Was there something sinister involved? Roy working undercover for man u?

But I can't wait for Sturridge to come back. At least this performance we looked a lot better than previously.

Because we're angry and bitter generally, and need someone to blame.

I''ve been thinking about BR and wonder, do you think he decides on players very early without giving them a good chance? We seem to have a long list of players who turn up, do nothing then leave. I wonder why that is? Especially given the FFP concerns.

Would it be better to sign less players but people who will contribute more. Easier said than done I guess but do get the feeling that we have wasted a truckload of money

I do wonder if he tries to live up to the hype that he's brilliant with young players. It's all well and good to have him work with these players BUT they also need truly world class players to learn from and the only World Class player with any length of service is Gerrard. I'd like to see the purchase of a couple of 28-32 year old 'stars' who offer as much off the field as on it to compliment the youth and inexperience.

Well the honeymoon is definitely over. Has he slightly changed the formation from last year too?

It's not all doom and gloom though. Studge coming back, Valdes still a possibility and a CL win this Thursday is a huge step toward making the next round.

Definitely not all doom and gloom, does feel like we're on the edge a bit though. A few more losses though and we're looking at a potential european and cup exit, and already losing serious ground on the league leaders.

However, it's early days, string some wins together over the next few weeks and we'll be right back on track with one eye cautiously on the next stage of europe, a quarterfinal berth in the league cup, and some good momentum in the league.
