Time for a break. Clear the head a bit, maybe a beer.

Nino, you still alive or slumped in the gutter somewhere?

I hope Carroll has a haircut before he comes!

I'm feeling quite positive about our team now..I am also sure that Kenny will stay on as Manager and we may spend more in the summer.

The only thing he may have fried was his brain.

How can Chelski afford him? They already lost 70 million quid this season already! As for Carroll, realistically he's worth about 7 mill at most. Torres about 15 mill. Silly prices being splashed around.

Its Gutter=ing about Torres.
But I'm spouting about Carroll.
Suarez will be handy.
Can't wait to see the new lineup. Would it be as soon as Chelski (inc.Torres) v L'pool Sun Feb 6th perhaps? (our Monday am?)

I see what you did.

But I think you'll find it's Carroll that is Andy.

Not being stupid but where do you play him?
Drop either Agger or Skrtel , and if so , which one?
Carragher to one of the fullback positions?  bit rough on Kelly to drop him because he's been going OK at RB ; as has Johnson at LB ( and I NEVER thought I'd say that).
I guess he'd go to one of the CB positions .But I'm no longer convinced he's worth a starting spot.Legs have gone , and some silly mistakes all year.Mind you , I wouldn't mind if someone gave Torres a VERY friendly reminder of tacking practice.

Carra has to replace Skrtl, he hasn't played at all well for a while now. I've thought Carra needed to move on but Skrtl's frailties are showing too much at the moment plus Carra can organise the back line well. Kelly to play RB and Johnson on the left.

Give this a shot against Stoke?

               Reina
Kelly Carra Agger Johnson
    Gerrard Meireles Lucas
      Suarez Carroll Maxi

yea carroll is injured so looks like suarez will be a straight swap for torres to begin with?

when carroll is fit surely a formation change is on the cards... suarez is not a wide player and carroll is your classic CF

dalglish is old school, will we see the trusty 4-4-2?

I like both Carroll and Suarez, given the recent transfers I may have to reconsider my opinion on the two of them.

In all honesty, though, Perennial strugglers Liverpool have done very well from this transfer window.  Wish Wenger could have bought in one or two more new faces.

Yow, didn't think it was as bad as that. I thought it was more a niggle and he was due back in the next week or so. Thought he might sit out Stoke but be ready for the cockney scum.

P.s, I was a little surprised (or should have seen it) that you had no replacement/s organised for Carroll? Surely he was always going to be a target but to look for N'Zogbia in the last 10 min was a bit lame. Feel sorry for your supporters, another Ashley knife in the back.

Well as the dust settles the question on everyone's lips is: Is Carragher going to do a Muscat?

(but seriously, I'm expecting at least an elbow to the face).

Well, if Torres's quoted comments about being able to now play for a "big club" are true , then I really hope someone deals to him.Childish-yes; pathetic-yes . Oh how I wish for a Souness or A McMahon to sort him and teach him some f...ing respect. Oh , Fernando - I take it back about your contract about Terry- I hope he does goose your missus

To the Kop; I like your line up vz Stoke , although as has been pointed out , Kuyt in for Carroll.I'm increasingly liking Merieles in the middle of the park; he's showing how classy he really is.Still think they could use a grafter ( Lucas , maybe a bit wasted wide on left). But

I'm still missing the days of McMahon and Molby; big fat Dane couldn't run to the opening of  KFC but Christ could he pass.Stevo would do his running for him.

Next thought- Kenny or Mourinho?? If Kenny can get them to top 6 ( or , dare I hope , top 4) be very difficult to not give him the job.

Final thought- could Kenny's most important signing turn out to be Steve Clarke?

Nail on the head about Steve Clarke, he's going to prove to be a massive signing off the pitch. I think Kenny will stay for a couple of years and get the foundations set back to what they used to be. Hopefully pick up some silverware on the way.
