Screw you Roy. THIS is Liverpool!

What a performance all round. Defence was strong for most of the game. Fulham had really only that little period of domination after halftime. First half especially was sensational, but we looked fantastic on the break at the end too.

Maxi's gone mad. Suarez is so so so so good. Spearing and Lucas were great. Flanno continues to look the part. Great to have GJ back. Reina's 150th consecutive Premier League game? Well done  Kuyt on fire too, however they came. Hope Raul is alright but Shelvey looked good after he settled in!

Away fans were boss. Maxi and Suarez songs getting a bit more than an airing!

Happy days, roll on Spurs!!

Maxi is frustrating huh? Maybe he was told to lift his game or lose his contract. 5th place here we stay

That's the sort of game we would have lost a year or so ago. Fulham are not a bad side but we made them look distinctly second rate today!! No point in beating the likes of the Scum and Chelski ( always good though)if we can't back up against  the likes of the   Brummies and Fulham- job well done lads.
SOme random thoughts- Maxi gets the match ball but how good is Suarez?? I'm really warming to Spearing and I thought Shelvey was very good too.
Final thought- this brilliant run of form has been without Gerrard.Whilst a fit Gerrard would improve any team , his absence has actually made "Pool a bit better. Before the flames come , others have had to step up.Think Lucas , Spearing and Merieles.By using Merieles' skill and vision at the point end of a diamond , with Lucas and SPearing doing the donkey work , we actually look like a better team; Gerro no longer has to do it all himself. When he's back , be interesting to see how he fits in.Still , great to have options .
So looking forward to next Sunday- got a curry and a beer riding on it with a work mate who's been gloating all year about Spurs and the big 4- he's has his year!!

Some good points in there. The point about Stevie is interesting. Couldn't agree more about other players stepping up. They really come out of their shells when Stevie isn't playing and its great to see. But as you say, he's one of the best ever players for our club, so where to fit him in? Spearing has been ace once he's got a run of games.

And Suarez, well, what can you say? I just can't get enough of the lad. Unbelievably good with a brilliant attitude. He's the business, that's for sure.

This will be an interesting game...POSSIBLY.

A month ago I would have said that we would feel confident about taking this match.  Only Man U is the team that has been our bogey over the last two seasons.

If the team can get over the loss of Bale and chose to turn up with the right attitude (and Sandro starts) we can still get the 3 pts.

Unfortunately the momentum has very much switched to your lot.

This is the game for Europa (yays) - unless City & Stoke ruin it for us both with the FA Cup and then the EPL game afterwards.

How sad

Maybe - a touch heated in a moment of euphoria this morning but still the same team that Roy made excuse after excuse with (it wasn't his team don't you know) has played out of it's skin for the last 4 months. The only real change is Torres out, Suarez in and some chap named Kenny.

Perhaps, but not a very professional attitude. These are the same guys getting thousands of dollars a week. A form of stealing I would say.

5th it is then (we'll hold off Spurs)

Given we had our sites on top 12 a little over 4 months ago the lads deserve a pat on the back. Europa league or no, it's been quite the second half.

Couldn't agree more (with Kop). The guy was a twat to our club and some of the things he said were disrespectful to the players, the fans and the club. He had our team turning in performances of the lowest quality and lacking any sort of imagination or desire to attack and win every away game. That perfomance was beautiful to watch and nothing like Roy would have served us up, even with similar players.

But, he's gone. We move onwards and upwards.

I know I'm probably opening up an old wound here... but it still completely astounds me that you guys seriously think the players did their best under Roy

And I must add... my comment was made because it was after you guys beat Fulham, in a game that Roy had nothing to do with, and Kop's first thought was 'screw you roy' - I just thought that was rather negative, bitter, and sad...

I don't really want to talk too much about Roy but have you wondered why none of the players performed under him? He was completely the opposite to practically every LFC manager ideology that went before him. The players and we the fans didn't believe in what he was doing. He should never have been hired in the first but our previous money slapping owners needed a yes man to do their bidding while they attempted to screw us for every last penny. I'm sure he's a nice guy, in fact I know he is but just not suited to the Liverpool way.

I'm sure you'd welcome him at Arsenal when Wenger finally loses his post

"I don't know if he can do much better next season with the players he has over the clubs that have endless funds."

Nuf said really. If we had Kenny from the start of this season the table could look a bit different imo!

Here Noah shows how well he knows Liverpool Football Club.

I can just hear Kenny now... "I've done a great job finishing5th/6th i think i'll bow out on this high note.

Exactly. He doesn't have a clue if he thinks Kenny doesn't want this job.

I love my rumours.....some say that there is tension surrounding the role of Commolli and Kenny wants assurances that he will have the final say

almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
^And at the same time Kenny's just signed a 3yr deal and will be presented in front of the Kop on match day against Spurs. JWH n Co also flying over to be in attendance.

almost 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
^^Heard that too!

And... to top it all off we'll sign Young and Augero* and some others.

*Please!
