Kenny Dal until the end of the season ?

It's a good idea from a fan perspective but I'm not sure it'll happen. NESV will want to appoint a long term manager or if a caretaker is needed maybe someone like Borrell who coaches the reserves?

He'll be part of NESV's senior management and strategic planning/ambassador role rather than a managerial one.

He has the tradition and the backing I have heard a few rumors that frank rijkaard is one of the prefered options?

It's not over yet boys. I wonder if they're waiting for Kenny to get back from his mediterranean cruise?

Same here, I felt like a kid on xmas about to open a present that you've been wanting for ages only to find out it's not what you wanted at all!

Sammy lee has to go too imo. I really don't think he's been very good coming back to Perennial strugglers Liverpool.

It would appear that Kenny is stuck in Dubai at the moment with work commitments. If they want him as caretaker they can't do anything until he gets back.

Off to Old Trafford we go. Show us the way Woy.

Leeds won there last year, so it's possible.

Three for me, and two for them.

Whatever the result, be it a loss or win 4-1, Hodgson will be gone. Kenny will be caretaker and Manager 'X' will be installed in the summer. <-- Favourite this post.

I think the Blame lies at the feet of LFC not Roy that team's be in decline for years.

maybe you should be directing your anger at the players earning 30,000- 150,000 pounds a week and don't give me that clap trap about the manager picks the team and sends them out some of those players are not giving anywhere near their best they look like sulky little children who need a clip round the bloody ear the rest aren't up to premiership football you can't have a two man team and expect too win the premier league

Also question :  Who are the youngsters of note coming through Perennial strugglers Liverpool's ranks at the moment ?

AHHHHHHHH. Why do people say this?! We challenged for the title two seasons ago!!!! We were sh*te last season, but we've hardly been in a decline for years..

However, I do blame LFC (mostly Purslow), to an extent, for where we are today. For sacking Rafa and appointing Roy. But that means I also blame Roy too.

Yeah, the players need to accept some responsibility, but I'm pretty sure you're not an idiot. Surely you realise that its the managers job to motivate players. And if you watched us regularly, you'd see how ridiculously deep we sit when we play. This is due to Roy's tactics. Look, I've covered it several times, but Roy is to blame for where we are and the way we blame. We set up exactly the same as Fulham were in the Europa League final.

Who isn't up to Prem football? (Other than Poulsen)

Youngsters? Youngsters who could play now like Kelly, Pacheco, Shelvey? Or our younger ones like Suso?

You could be Mourniho, SAF super breed with the power of foresight if the players are sh*t, they're sh*t.

What I found most amusing is how this is taking everyones attention away from the fact your owners aren't giving you the money you so desperately need this January.

Now's when one of those little elfs (Buffon / Arsenal etc) come along and post a gif of LFC falling into a hole.

Do you really need to make the same post in two threads Michael? just go hang out in the united thread or something

or if you're really bored why don't you compare the Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool and blackburn teams man-to-man and get back to me with whether you think 3-1 to Blackburn was an expected outcome.

edit: oh and also, I'm pretty sure if Mourinho was our manager for the same period of time as Woy we could get a result away to Blackburn.

Was an accident mate, had both threads open.

Sure I understand what El and the rest of you are saying but I'm just saying Roy is only 30% of your troubles. And since this is a discussion board.Michael2011-01-07 18:02:19

I know you're on a wind-up, but I'm gonna bite cos I have nothing better to do.

So much is wrong with that whole post it isn't even funny.

Do you really thinik that? Then why do the managers even bother turning up to the games? Just  buy players and let them go out there and thats all there is to do as a manager? Easy, can't wait til I'm a manager then. Ffs. Tit.

I'm glad they aren't giving Roy money to spend, the last thing we need is a team full of mediocre players like Poulsen and Konchesky. I don't want Carlton Cole here. I don't want Bobby Zamora. I'd rather wait til we get a good manager and then give him cash to burn and to build his own team which will hopefully cross the halfway line. But hey, nice job having a dig at our owners. How are the Glazers doing?

you did challenge then started to dismantle the team,Alonoso moving on has been the most harmful you never replaced him really.

Rafa needed to be sacked it started going bad right after the FACT rant and never recovered
his transfer dealings weren't the flashiest  either.

Roy walked in between owners and he was fuked right there he didn't dilly dally either he gave his assessment of the squad he was handed and said you were mid table and wouldn't challenge the top 4 until at least next season he could see what you could see as fans but didn't want to admit (imo)

I could say 30,000-150,000 per week should be enough motivation but that's silly.as if walking out to 30,000 plus people isn't motivation enough either

Lucas and N'Gog aren't up to the premier league

Yeah youngsters that should be breaking into the 1st team the next Owen or Gerrad haven't really seen many coming through

I'm not purposely trolling :L

I agree with you - that is the last thing you want. Then the answer is to sack Roy immediately and get something going? I spose you don't know who to replace him with but if you want to wait then why is everyone calling for his head ASAP? You think a care-taker could do any better?

And I didn't say managers do sh*t all- I was merely saying that managers don't change things by themselves.

What have the owners actually changed about your club while they've been here? Nothing. You'd think January was their chance.

Interesting you bring up the Glazers. I have thought about this, but current table position has distracted everyone from the c**ts.

f**k it.

Agree, we never really replaced Alonso, which was a really big blow.

Yup, that disasterous 'rant' of his. After that, we did beat United 1-4, Madrid 4-0 etc etc. Pretty sure we didn't fall apart after that. But hey, the media know best, huh. No maanager has a 100% record, and he did bring in Torres, Reina, Alonso, Masch, Kuyt etc, moved Stevie and Carra and changed them into world class players (Gerrard already was, tbf).

Roy was fked from the beginning. Because he is the last part of the sh*te regime that has haunted this club for the last few years. Because he is a midtable, mediocre manager. Rafa is a thousand times the manager Roy will ever be. And if that was a 'midtable squad' then why did they fire Rafa for getting us into the Top 7? Or into the top four regularly before that? And replace him with a manager who has only won 13 away games in England? Uhmm...

Yeah, I agree. They're all overpaid t**sers. But I can understand why Torres would get really really frustrated at having to deal with hoofs from the back all the time. That cannot be much fun. And that is cos of the way the manager has us set up.
Lucas isn't good eno... Nah, stopped reading there. Just nah.

These are some reasonable points, the 2nd place season had a central midfield trio of Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard, who I think everyone would have to admit are pretty decent. After the sale of Alonso and Mascherano, Lucas stepped into the gap and i think a lot of abuse was levelled at him for not being good enough, but he has had some pretty decent games for us and shown potential. Not to mention his form for Brazil.

But can you really say that Poulsen and Meireles are satisfactory replacements? Aquiliani looked decent, but was humstrung (haha) by injury, and Rafa seemed loathe to play him. All reports say he is doing great now at Juventus.

I think a club as large as Perennial strugglers Liverpoolf should be able to attract better talent than Poulsen, Konchesky and supposedly Zamora. I know you all think we are sh*t after dropping from 2nd to 7th and now this years performance, but you cannot deny Perennial strugglers Liverpool has some pull in terms of attracting players. I think this is what EN means about Woy's mindset, in signing players that would be very good for Fulham, they aren't in the mould of what is expected for this club.

But as Michael says: "f**k it", all this will change no ones opinion really.

I said at the end of last season when lfc fans were calling for Rafas sacking that you'd be mad to sack him after one bad season and that you as a team needed it  and that appointing Roy would get you relegated (even though i've been sticking up for him of late)  maybe that was the yanks last fuk you to the lfc fans ??

the smart arse in me has to point out that the hoof balls from the back is  nothing new in LFC football, Michael Owen used to put up with that all the time

I was saying the same thing. I mean, people who wanted Rafa sacked didn't even think about who  we would replace him with. Mourinho? No top manager was gonna come to Libpool, which was gonna leave people like Hodgson who aren't good enough. Lol, maybe, but I think it was more to do with Cecil, the fking snake. And probably to do with Carra and possibly Stevie as well.

Aha, true, but we had Heskey and that produced results! Besides, most importantly, different players who suit different systems. The team Rafa left obviously suited a high pressing game (which we had played under him) rather than one which sits back and soaks up pressure the whole time.

I said a similar thing in the sack race thread about Villa under MON vs Villa under Houllier. Both managers tried to play different styles of football when the current Villa side was really only set up to play one way.

Three for me, and two for them.
