Very pleased with the game, Agger and Skrtel played well together, Kelly was outstanding again. Meireles was probably the key man for us, Lucas was quiet but effective when called upon at DM. When Gerrard gets back I would feel fairly confident about the starting XI.

And if we get another (very acheivable imo) result against Fulham on wednesday we will be well on our way back to where we belong.

Finally saw the strike from Meireles, what a beauty. Great passing to get goals, having goals like them are always encouraging.

Love it. Kenny and LFC not giving anything away. Things will get announced when the deal is done.

Also interesting to see Adam has handed in a transfer request. Not accepted by Blackpool of course but shows intent from the player to move. To Villa or LFC though??

all rumours i've seen suggest Adam wants a crack at the big time with you guys be interesting to see how kenny would set up with charlie in there? Midfield three of meireles, gerrard and adam? too offensive-minded?

Adam seems a strange decision to me....We have Lucas, Meireles, Poulsen, Gerrard, Spearing and Shelvey. I know some can play different positions but I wouldn't have thought Centre mid is an area that we need to strengthen in?

Blackpool were thinking that Adam would be worth about �12m. First Perennial strugglers Liverpool bid was �4.7m, I wonder if another bid will be put in. Not really sure how good Charlie Adam is, only seen him play a couple times.

And both those times were against us? Where he was outstanding? Hmm, Lucas with Raul and Adam either side, Stevie on the right, Suarez on the left, Torres up front... I like the sounds of it! Would rather have Adam than Poulsen/ Spearing. Keen to get Suarez too! Agreed, loving how nobody knows what is going on. Ahhh, I love actually looking forward to our games these days.

Another point that I've noticed with NESV is that they've been prepared to haggle. They've obviously pinpointed a number of players but they haven't (so far) gone for top dollar. Pretty sure they said they wouldn't over pay for players (relate that to Villa and Bent). We may get both, we may get neither but at least they're looking at players that are: a)World class b) not carlton cole and c) not in their 30's...

EDIT: and even if we don't get them now at least we know they're keen and can have another go in the summer.
