Oh my goodness. What are they doing to our club? Point 9, we could go into administration!!! Although it does sound like they don't really have any say in what happens to the sale of the club and if my reading is correct they are more than likely going to leave Liverpool with no profit?

But I might need to read this again after my coffee has kicked in. Kop where do you find articles like this?!
08 Sep 22:17 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
It got linked on twitter.

Administration is a real threat and I don't think a lot of fans are fully aware this is a real danger. You might be wondering why I'm focusing so much on the ownership thing recently and it's because these yankee twats will ruin LFC if they have too. H&G are like rabid dogs with their backs to the wall at the moment and if it gets to the point where they can't get any profit they'll leave us to sink. Look what they did to the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. Not to mention a south american club Hicks ruined in the late 90's. Leverage buy outs don't work in sports.
We're currently worried about not have a decent squad for the season, that the least of our issues right now. If Administration hits we get docked 9 points and the downward spiral begins. Leeds, Portsmouth anyone?

Here's a bit on Hicks recent sporting history.
http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2010/08/03/tom-hicks-the-most-incompetent-owner-in-sports/

The dream scenario (if there is one) is that in early Oct RBS take control of the club. They can take control without putting us into administration which means we don't lose 9 points. Hopefully there is a buyer waiting in the shadows for this moment because it'll mean a cheap takeover for the buyer and recovery of debt for RBS. The problem is though that H&G have been through this before, they know how to delay and play the field. The next month will probably be the most important in the clubs history.

Can Hicks and Gillet stop RBS from selling the club if they are out voted in the boardroom each time? Lawsuits I suppose will stall the sale but it does seem like Liverpool will be sold without them making any profit?
09 Sep 03:29 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
I don't believe so. RBS are well in their rights to take control of club if H&G don't service the debt. Voting in the boardroom is more around the sale of the club to a bidder or the mortgaging of further assets, anything to do with the club while H&G are still the owners. RBS could extend the loan agreement of course, it is a good money earner for them...

Some good news this morning. RBS have moved H&G's debt into it's recovery team. Ultimately means there will be no extension and H&G have a month to find the cash or buyer.

Let's ride this glimmer of hope for moment and have a think about Birmingham for a second. Team line up? Considerations: It's away, always tricky. Monday game in the UK, we're a little bit jinxed with these. Injuries?

          Reina
Johnson Carra Soto Konchesky
       Meireles Lucas
    Maxi Gerrard Jova
          Torres

Subs:
Pacheco
Poulsen
Agger
Skrtl
Babel

Wait, I thought it was Monday here? I hate not playing on Sunday (here!)...

Well, they hate Ngog, so he'll be in for some rough treatment if he is fit..

Agree with that side, although maybe more of a 4-5-1 with Lucas/ Poulsen in the middle with Stevie and Meireles either side of him with Maxi and Jova on the wingssss. Easy to change to the beloved 4-2-3-1 if we need to. Also like to see either Agger or Skrtel in place of Soto! Hopefully get to see Dani come on at some point too.

A good first half performance would be nice to see, too- although ultimately 3 points would be boss, especially with Europa League and then United coming up?

Come on you Mighties!

You could be right there.

Another promising point is that everyone individually has been performing very well for their national teams. (Pepe aside - eek) if we can just bring that form together on the pitch we can do really well.
10 Sep 00:02 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Yeah.. Algee, just chuck Suso on if we get desperate

We'll be playing like Barca soon!

Will he start Soto over Agger?
10 Sep 00:21 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
I didn't think he rated Soto.. Didn't Roy say that he was free to go?
10 Sep 01:28 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
I picked Soto over Agger due to his injury cloud and the fact that Soto has that ability to impose his presence over the opposition. Could be what we need to dominate the defense against Birmingham. Of course I'm open to Roy's thoughts on this

Hick's bashing has really made my afternoon

Yep, D-Day is under a month away. One way or another, some form of action will take place.

Don't listen to me. It's Monday morning here! That's another positive...
Also with last nights results a win should see us up to 5th.

Not a bad game for a nil all. Good weekend betting too.

Very poor performance today. Positives: Reina was absolutely brilliant, Konchesky looked good, Meireles did too in limited minutes.
12 Sep 20:13 · edited 09 Sep 05:01
Didn't get to see the game this morning but by all reports the Lucas/Poulsen pairing isn't a hit? Meireles with some more field time will hopefully resolve that issue. Good to see Pepe finding some form, I bet the Spanish performance the other day really got him to focus.

how anyone thinks lucas paired with another dm in midfield is going to work in mind baffling.
I dont want to see roy continue with the mistakes rafa made.

When lucas went off and gerrard dropd back we were finally able to atleast look like attacking.
There is just no movement, lucas or poulsen pass to wings, wings pass back to fullbacks, fullbacks pass back to cms, then cm's just switch it to the other side untill a long ball gets played to torres which he cant do anything with because he isolated, torres losses the ball and comentators say torres isnt quite looking right.

just same old same old, soooo frustrating

uuuhhhhh.

Anyways Pepe was absolute class and kon impressed me, also stevie looking interested again.
Im still optimistic :)

Agreeeeeeeed. How can pro footballers not understand movement off the ball?! So frustrating to watch. I don't mind Lucas, but this is so right. You clearly can't make a partnership from Lucas and a holding midfielder that will ever work. And yip, agree with the rest of that too. Good post. Can hardly blame Torres when he gets service like that all day.

Don't know if Stevie is the man to go there or not, but at least it offers some balance.

But Reina was fantastic.

Europa League then United?

Without Pepe you would be nowhere.

Three for me, and two for them.

Can't believe Buffy actually got something right...

Anyways, Europa next. Up against Steaua at Anfield.

Tough one to pick, various combinations could be used for this one. Babel could get a start.

Agger, Aurelio, Ngog in doubt with injury still. Konchy should be ok.

        Pepe
Kelly Carra Soto Konchesky
    Gerrard Meireles
Babel               Jova/Pacheco
             Cole
        Torres

Actually could see Nando being rested for United, maybe Babel up front with one of his "last chances"?

Good article on BBC about Nando not being matchfit yet. So he mabe considered to get some match fitness?? but I hope he comes back to score against Manure.

I'm looking forward to seeing a fit Nando, Gerrard and J Cole all in the same team

Lucas costs you points every week though. So do Babel and Kuyt when they play.

Three for me, and two for them.

Kuyt? How is he costing us points?
