If you had watched the game, you would have seen that Michael C was the worst player on thr field. Talk about giving the ball away? Apart from the last 20 mins, he was hiding.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

You're right. He played 6 minutes instead of 5. But we had scored already...

let's remember, the ref is the sole judge of time, if anything he would have been helping Villa by giving them the time taken to celebrate the goal.

The standard allocation is 1 minute per goal and 30secs per substitute, there is no problem.

Not a bad way to make your impression on your Boss, 3 goals in 2 games. Nows there's talk he will be given a 10k  a week contract. bet that will get renegotiated iuf this keeps up. That's 6 ppoints he alone has won United.

He only has 2 goals LG, but nevertheless, what a start to his career. SAF told him if he impressed in the Reserves game the week before the Villa game, he would be on the bench. He got a hattrick in that game and hasn't looked back.

Would be nice if our title hope's weren't dependant on a 17 year old, but hopefully we are slowly getting back to our best.

I think we will win in Porto tomorrow, I think a 1-0 or 2-1 scoreline. Rio back in defence means a clean sheet is a possibility. It's a great opportunity to get an away win at a very tough place

Your mate Michael C was again one of the worst players.

Carrick on the ball wasn't much, but I noticed his defence was very good. He intercepted passes, and often got back as the third CB. He's the playmaker so his passes tend to be 50/50, if they come off he looks brilliant otherwise its not that good. I feel he is still an immesely important cog of the team.

Cristiano's goal was just ridiculous, amazing. A great win and thoroughly deserved. Everton Monday morning in the FA Cup now, that will be a very tough match.

Whom do you support leggy?

Believe it or not a teams need non super stars to work. They need someone doing the stuff you don't notice, and that's Michael Carrick.

Believe it or not I have been a United supporter before you were born, but unlike a lot of guys on this forum I don't wear a patch over my eye. I call it as I see it.
Playing to their best, there is not a team that can beat them.

I reckon if Moyes hadnt been spouting off about Riley being a Man U suypporter you would have got that penalty.
Permalink Permalink

That's been known for some years about Riley. It was a Man Utd home game that he was doing that started a lot of the animosity when he gave united a questionable penalty and denied the opposing team an obvious one. I will think about it and see if i can remember who the opposition was.

Still United fans can look forward to a CL semi final and possibly a championship. Things some of us can only dream about.

I found this comment interesting. .....

"fergie made an awful decision to play a weak inexperienced side in the first place. welbeck, gibson and few others were no doubt brilliant but we lacked that attacking quality by not playing ronaldo, giggs or rooney. berbatov was awful as usual and had no influence when he came on, not to mention his sloppy penalty. The biggest joke was our damn penalty takers, most of them being defenders. theyve blown their chances of the treble now!!!!"........

Doesn't Fergi rate the FA Cup again??

Ferguson should resign for his complete and utter DISRESPECT for the FA CUP!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I just think he's decided that the Prem is more important, they have a game on Wednesday and they can't afford any more slip ups.

He'd rather lose the FA Cup than not win the EPL.

Penalty takers were a joke, why not Tevez, Scholes or Gibson? Rio's penalty was a joke, and Berbatov has reached the height of his f**king cockiness, we're honestly better off without that attitude

There was a difference of 20 years in the footbal played today...

Man Utd's 2nd team were playing modern football..

Everton were playing better footbal 20 years ago... what was with smacking the ball up to the Belgian Biscuit.

Disappointed about not getting the penalty, but meh.

Berbatov deserves to be shot. Who ever decided to send Ferd and Vidic down next also deserves to be shot.

But yes, rather Premier league than this. Still really disappointed. Anyway Good luck Everton.Michael2009-04-20 16:21:08

I'm stoked we won, but,you guys should have beaten us well before penalties, maybe you were two or three senior players short at k/off but i mean let's honest  we had nothing, Vidic had Fellaini in his pocket all game and Saha never really looked that threatening the goal.

You are right, but not only thr FA Cup. What about Everton, MU club and the millions of United followers.
His comments about the pitch being bummpy and slow are a joke.
If he had any class he would resign.

And let United slip into the full grasp of the Glazers? No thanks, sure he made a mistake but I don't think any United fan wants to see the back of him

I bet there's more United fans pissed off at that team line up and inept performance than are saying it was part of a master plan to win the EPL and the CL. Surely when you're in the running for the major trophies, you put out your best team irrespective of the opposition. You go to win!

Berbatov, he should have stayed at Spurs, he's not suited to the United style and they're not suited for his. That has to go down as the worst ever penalty (Beating John Terry's in last years CL final) taken by a professional player at a top club.

Well the Cups at the bottom of the list whether you like it or not. No point winning the Cup to lose the Premier league and champions league. And Alex resigning for this would make us exactly the same as those Chelsea blokes.

@Giddyup, we had nothing on attack either. Sure our defense was somewhat good but that doesn't win games.

It takes you to shoot outs though, and on paper that one should have been ours, but very poor decisions were made. And to be fair on Sir Alex, the Wembley pitch is complete sh*te, but so is the excuse

Yeah, both teams have to play on it. Only thing SAF said about the pitch was that he didn't want to risk injuries or tire out his main players as the pitch was really soft, and was the reason for the line up.
