MICHAEL OWEN, WELCOME TO MANCHESTER

That was the greatest game of football I have seen in a long time. Rio and Foster are out of a definite hole now, but...YIPPIE>

lol so i ate my words Oska! Park was pretty average in the end aswell!

What a game, i woke the whole house up when Owen scored. Good man :)

Its so typical of us tho, making it hard for ourselves. But you cant just go and buy yourself a reputation for being the comeback kings. Nuff said!

Man Bellamy is such a t**ser.
Sweet music to my ears every time Tevez went anywhere near the ball, little Twit! Funny thing is that if you put Adebayor, Robinho and even Santa Cruz into the equation, theres no way he can get into that Chitty team.
Hes just about due to go crying to the press again isnt he..?? Its been a couple of months..

That was the best game of football I have seen for a long, long time. There was a period in the second half, after Valencia had come on, when we played the best attacking, most pressing football I have ever seen from United. Giggs was truly incredible today, replacing him will be the toughest challenge that SAF will face i think.

There was a lot of stoppage time, but we made a change and then they scored a goal and dicked around celebrating - 4 minutes had already been signalled when they equalized so that makes 5 1/2 minutes all up to me... And of course then Michael scored... What a moment for him.

Richie, too right about Tevez, I've had enough of his bitching, he should be happy for his 150,000k a week, considering he scored 5 EPL goals last season, think that is quite an expensive amount to spend. For the record, it is now Owen 2, Tevez 0 in goals this season.

He'll sleep through a good part of his own wedding, looking forward to seeing the highlights tonight. Sounds like a special one!

had to try not to wake the missus up was watching in bed, when owen scored I had to bury my face in a pillow . city didn't look particularly dangerous tbh, only bellamys first goal was decent, the other two were sh*te blunders. Bring back VDS by the way, Foster too dodgy at times. Thought Rio had an outstanding first game back, apart from obvious final blunder! Midfield was solid, Anderson plenty of probing runs and Fletcher showing that everyone in United is capable of pitching in with goals. Park worked really hard but I don't see him as a wide player, he lacks the pace and ability to beat a man, would rather see him in the centre where he can put all his hard work to use.

MOM has to be Giggs though, set up Owen for the winner and both of Fletchers headers too. Hope when I'm 36 I can still skin players like he does. Amazing balance and vision. Poor Berbatov unlucky not too score and Rooney worked hard for the whole 90. I could go on for ever. Great all around performance.

Had been dreading this game. Like to think that even if I am a United fan can give cred when it is due.
First half City were the better side. Second half United played the game that are good at. Move the ball quickly to the wide areas and get it in. It paid off, and we were by far the better team in the second half, and derserved to win.
It shows you what others think. Had an e-mail from a mate who is a City fan and he reckons that a draw was a fair result? Not sure which game he was watching.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

absolutely amazing! that is all really. definitely worth staying up for despite the huge amount of caffeine required to get me through the day. Still almost can't believe it actually. First half of second half just phenomenal. Chance after chance. City didn't touch the ball for about 20 minutes!

has anybody got a decent link to a live feed for the carling cup game?

Nah man I'm at work so unfortunately they frown upon streaming games over the net... Do have it on gamecast though. 0-0, second half just starting. Fabio red carded, De Laet on to replace him, still got Owen and Welbeck up top with Nani, Gibson and Carrick in midfiled. Neville, Brown and Evans the defence and Kuszczak in goal.

And then same again when the fa cup starts up in jan. Go kiddies!!

Great quote here from mick mccarthy after the game (https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/8257293.stm)

"My assessment was that we weren't good enough to win it - we've been sat down, patted on the head and sent on our way.

"Nice old Wolves, come up put on a show but don't upset the apple cart. It annoys me."

How good was the goal? I saw it last night and the pass from Owen was fantastic!!

Meanwhile...

Dear Carlos Tevez,

What to say once you've left United and still be loved and adored by the fans...

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he is still a fan of Manchester United.

The Portuguese maestro says he still loves watching his former team on television and when he cant watch, loves hearing if the team has won.

"Every time I can I try to watch United's games on television, he said.

"I still like to know what's happening at Old Trafford. And despite now being at Real, I'm always happy when I know when United have won.

United's dressing room minutes before kick off in the derby...

"Right I want 110% effort from the word go against this blue sh*te. Remember the bastards did us on the anniversary of Munich. If you dont win, those cockney f**kers at Chelsea will have 6 points on us. Now I don't care if you kick, punch or headbutt your way to victory, you must win this. Good luck".

Then Fergie walks in & says, "Thanks ref, I'll take it from here".

Three for me, and two for them.

Haha.

Two boys are playing football in a park in London when one of them is attacked by a rottweiler. Thinking quickly, his friend rips a plank of wood from a fence, forces it into the dog's collar and twists it, breaking the dog's neck. All the while, a newspaper reporter who was taking a stroll through the park is watching. He rushes over, introduces himself and takes out his pad and pencil to start his story for the next edition.
He writes, "Spurs fan saves friend from vicious animal."
The boy interrupts: "But I'm not a Spurs fan."
The reporter starts again: "QPR fan saves friend from horrific attack."
The boy interrupts again: "I'm not a Rangers fan either."
The reporter asks: "Who do you support, then?" "Arsenal," replies the boy.
So the reporter starts again: "Gooner git kills family pet"
