Not in the after match interview i saw, infact thought someone must have slipped him some chill pills as he even admitted they didnt deserve a result. Not even that result can wipe the smile off my dial after yesterday.

not a wind up

but I reckon Utd got a bunch of poor calls. I know this hardly ever happens to them, at least but some of it was very odd. Not saying Utd played very well... but that looked to me a certain penalty when the score was 0-0.

great dive by the Keeper though to get the Mascher sent off He'll be up front next week if he can repeat that in the box.

Hi all.  I'm not a Man U fan but I noticed that the Lyall Bay Warehouse is selling 2-3 styles of Man U supporters shirts.  They seem to be the real deal as they have the Man U labels.  Can someone corroborate my sightings?

Rio just doesnt look up to it this season. He needs to be dropped so he can come back better for it

Agree, Vidic hasn't been wonderful either. Evans should definitely start and I wonder if Wes is close to being picked. Not too sure.

As for the match, well, I really found myself grinning through the whole match after 6-0 and then the post-match booze up - it was the only time in my life I still felt absolutely unbelievably 100% happy with life after a loss to Liverpool. All a bit of a 'meh' really.

Sweet Obertan will be playing at Barnsley in the morning!
Will be good for a few of the young lads to get some games.

Was disappointed re the liverpool game. Definitely outplayed but with a few different calls could have been a draw. They just didn't really show up though and were definitely missing fletch in midfield as scholes and carrick were just beaten off the ball.

Good to see the young guns and owen get a good result against barnsley overnight though, and good to see owen score and obertan get his debut. Blackburn this weekend. Hopefully put a few past them without injuring/destroying Nelly's confidence before the 14th.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Will be interesting to see who lines up in the back 4  in the morning, with both Rio and Vidic in doubt and gazza suspended...
Surely of they were both out then itd be Oshea Brown Evans Evra

i say 3-1 United

Not the greatest game but we'll take three points. Good to see obertan on though he should have scored

Obertan definitely has potential.

Yeah he does. That was a deadset sitter though, got to put those away. But he was a hell of a lot better than Nani, who continues to frustrate the crap out of me.

I thought the game was quite good, nice goals from Berba and Wayne, and Wes played real good at the back. I like Valencia a lot as well. Good stuff.

I'm sick of Nani, and he looks so innocent when he comes off. :l

Obertan looked really, really nervous. Alex will have him right though, he's gonna go places.

Nani seems to be a good player but he just frustrates me - along the lines of what you all have said.

He's got awful decision making.

Nani is like a quality car thats in need of a real big load of tlc to get it up to tip shape! And nobody can be arsed going to the garage to look at it anymore...

Im sick of waiting for him. As is everone else by the sounds of it.

Obertan was so sh*t nervous, i felt a bit bad for him. He's definite quality, cant wait to see him get into a bit of a regular pattern of games then we'll really see what he's made of

Berbatov's goal was just brilliant

Rooney had a bit of an average game, made a few nice flicks....but he was doing it waaaay too often and alot werent coming off - was actually expecting him to be dragged off for Owen not Berba. But his goal was classy  Hopefully he'll go on another run of scoring in 6 or 7 games in a row again

I do get a little worried when Wayne hasn't scored for one or two matches, cos he tends to go in dry spells for 7 or 8 before ending it and scoring a bunch in a row. So the fact he was only two matches back from injury and scored was a good thing for mine - it would be nice for him to get going more consistently.

To be honest I would take a draw at Stamford Bridge this weekend, Chelsea are putting teams away and we havn't won there in bloody ages. Could've got a win last year but Kalou got one late-ish for 1-1.

So im hearing alot of frustration towards nani. What exaclty does he do?
Lose possesion, bad decision making? that sort of thing?

He's the Ahmed Elrich of Man United. Potential never realised.

Lucky Draw. Good fight back in the second half. But the defence this season! God, worse than a sieve. What happened to 11 clean sheets in a row?

Basically loses possession, tries way too many attempts from long range cos he has scored a couple in the past, incredibly poor desicion making, loves to cut in off the left and tries to hit it just like Cristiano used to do, except Cristiano a) managed to keep hold of the ball whilst dribbling and b) actually scored off the end of the runs every so often. I can't believe I heard talks Nani was about to sign a new 4 year contract, surely we are better off going after Ashley Young or someone like that.

Didn't watch the match today, damn work, hopefully catch a replay tonight. Have to reserve all comment till then. the draw puts us into the next round at least.

big brown envelope miscounted, 3-1 down, rechecked to confirm, 3-3  last minute OG (Again) - I wonder if any Indian bookmakers were watching the game??

Just shows how tenacious and good our side is. We stick with it to the death and get the chances, and take them. Nothing wrong with this one!

I'm just having some fun with you United fans. I see Old Grumpy was just about having a heart attack at 3-1. If looks could kill half of Manchester would've been dead.

If I was the CSKA coach I'd have my name changed by deed poll. Slutski is bound to attract smart remarks surely??

We deserved a Penalty. Incompetent refs rail again. Although the Linesmen were spot on.

Don't want to sound like a bad loser, but on a different day 2 of Moskva's wouldn't have gone in, but I spose 2 of ours wouldn't have either.

That was the worst call ever when Fletch didnt get the pen!

Defence was a bit on the average side with the goals conceded, very sloppy.

Created some great chances but it just seems to be putting them away thats the issue at the mo. Macheda's header was damn unlucky, and Akinfeev (who may just be with us next season ) had a great night between the sticks.

Nani again had me and 73000 people at OT and millions watching around the world rolling our eyes and scratching our heads in disbelief at yet another sh*te showing...

Valencia is coming along great, last couple of years our third goal would have been credited to Christiano, so to me its gotta be Valencia's goal!

So in the circumstaces ill take the draw without too much complaint

My thoughts from this morning:

1) Quite happy with our performance, thought we were the better team for the large part of the match, only a poor set piece let us down. Brown was great, Rooney fantastic.

2) I really do prefer watching the tennis Ivanovic to the Chelsea Ivanovic.

3) That resiult was brilliant for my fantasy team.

The ref wasn't as bad as the one at the Phoenix yesterday, he wasn't brilliant though. Wasn't a foul for the free kick, and then Drogba shoves Brown over as they score! At the same time Chelsea should've had a free kick right on the area if not a penalty for a shocking challenge by Jonny Evans. He lept up for a header and challenged Drogba by pushing his studs into Didier's chest! The ref then gives Drogba a yellow. So I agree with SAF that the ref was up to f*ck all, but I would never say the ref was to blame for our defeat.
