Better watch out for that tho, this time last year when we played spurs away it said same thing, delayed by 45 mins or whatever, was checking the listing all day and night til i went to be just to make sure- and yetwhen i got upand turned it on it was live and i missed the first halfFFS!
F*ck it, what a balls up! 3-1 up going into stoppage time then to drop the points from there is something that you'd expect us to do to another side.....not the other way around!
Ah well lesson will have to be learned, Rooney can play away from old trafford mr Fergie! Really did enough to win the game, the 2nd half was a pretty dominant display. Cant really say anyone had an off day....just concentrate til the final bloody whistle!

No mate, ive been born and bred United. Cant help that one im afraid!
However when i was younger (and still in England
lol) I used to go and watch whatever football i could...And if i couldnt get to OT or United were playing away etc id go and watch Preston or Blackburn usually. Hence ive got a bit of a soft spot for them! Moreso Preston though.

Pretty gutting way to finish the game. Was left scratching my head at a few selections. BBC Sport reported that the average age of our starting line up was something like 30 years 177 days. Don't know what O'Shea was doing in midfield. If they wanted to play him he should have been at right back with Nev on the bench (thought he was sh*t as well). Hernandez not even on the bench? Evans looked out of his depth. Berbatov did very well up front by himself.
Anyone watch the Chelsea game? Comical. At one point they had 8 players in the box and every single one was black. So much for English Football.

Wow we better get back on topic quick sharp i say!!
......................................................................................................................
Oshea always was a centre mid, it was a few years back now there was a decent injury list and thats when it started with him playing here there and everywhere. Jack of all trades master of none... Does a consistent job, though he'll never be a glamour player who sets the world alight. Remember Carrick's injured, Anderson's not quite ready yet, and Gibson wouldnt exactly do a DM job. With Oshea you know what you're going to get every time pretty much.
Ive gotta totally aggree about Red Nev, he's never been the same since coming back from all those injuries. Pity that, he was a damn good player at his peak.

What a f*cking daft thing to say. If they were all Norwegian or German or something you wouldn't have made that comment.
And United... well I was dark about the Warriors getting bounced out of the finals, and then I had to watch that last couple of minutes. Not acceptable, and I hope SAF gave them a decent serve. Better get back on track against Rangers on Wednesday morning.

lol so your saying Chelsea are better than you because they are black? Man Utd might want to get some more black players then after that huge LOL on saturday.
and what english players have man utd developed in the last 5 or so years.

Agreed. Hardly ideal.
Thought Smalling was quite impressive, looks smooth on the ball and solid in the defence. Only thing is he did manage to clear the ball into touch when he had the time to lookup and pickup a midfielder.
Too many guys up front going missing, couldn't believe to see Berba not even on the bench, and then Owen on instead of Macheda. That sort of lineup should be playing next week in the Carling Cup, not this morning.

It is interesting that it seems against teams who are prepared to sit very deep with lots of men behind the ball that the best way to counter this is possibly to not press them so high up the pitch and allow them to attack, maybe even only press in your own half or deeper to create space for your team to attack.
A perfect example was the Inter-Barca game last year, Inter sitting deep and not wanting the ball to remain in position and Barca in a way played into Inter's hands. Maybe if Barca allowed Inter to come at them and try and attack with speed while Inter were not in their defensive shape. However, Rangers is not Inter Milan. Should do better, and again shows the lack of depth in CM.

Agree totally. I thought that a couple of times this morning - there were two occasions when they pushed forward when catching them on the counter was a real possibility - especially once where Park almost set Rooney through in the first half.
The lack at CM I also agree, as i was walking home from work I was thinking about how Fletcher stepped up a few times and played some lovely balls, and Gibson's got the shot (but little else), but Scholes does both. The dependance on Paul Scholes is quite a worry. Here's hoping a fit Anderson might offer something different.

Nzmanu's comments are funnier given he has a black player as his avatar. f**king Twit.
Ok yes I apologize to everyone. It was a silly thing to say. I was just a bit upset with the United result and tbh Chelsea are looking bloody unstoppable. So I'm sorry for saying that.
As for the game, well goodness me. Talking about ruing missed opportunities, I like Berba but we payed 30mil for him and we wouldn't even pay 12m for Ozil. Oh well can't change that now. Hopefully SAF gets the selections right for Liverpool.

Yeah saw that, he looks fairly useful. Bit more time with Ole and he'l be given a look in for sure. Love to see wide guys run at players (like Valencia aften does but chose not to against the protestants!)
Speaking of wide guys, lets look at who else there is who can play wide (whatever side) if need be....As well as Nani theres Giggs, Park, Obertan, Anderson (not ideal but has been pushed out LM a few times and has a decent left peg) and finally Bebe. Dont think they'd recall Cleverly from Wigan unless there was another decent injury to a wide guy.
Onwards and upwards - Im confident about the Liverpool game, but thats largely due to Liverpool being the side they are/have been the last year or so... United's form is still in the smoothing out process! Get Berba back in the side, he's a shoe in for a goal at least!

Looked pretty good for the Reserves and looked really confident as well. It will be interesting to see who plays on the wing this weekend with Valencia out. Nani on the right/Park on the left. Although I'm a bit skeptical about Park starting against Liverpool.

Giggs will play, im almost certain on that. As will Scholesy. Dont think RedNev will make the cut though.

VDS
Oshea Vida Rio Evra
Nani Scholes Fletch Giggs
Berba Wazza
Yeah I think this looks like the line up that could well be fielded by SAF although he hardly ever puts out the same lineup that everyone expects. I expect to see O'Shea drop back to right back after Neville's failed effort last week although I'd rather see Wes Brown there tbh. I don't think we should chuck Rafael in the deep end against L'Pool. Berbatov has already been confirmed as a starter by SAF which is well deserved. Long may his good form continue!

Yea I had a funny feeling about him this year too. Doing well for me in fantasy bless him.
Nervy times after that equaliser. This 2 goal concession business needs to stop. Wonder what would have happened had O'Shea been ejected?
