Yeah Abidal's dismissal WAS actually iffy.

No ref would believe a player would dive that far off the defender, that's why I think Abidal was off-ed. Entirely second choice back 4 now, no Alves, Marquez, Puyol or Abidal for Barca.

Nah, Puyol will play, he was suspended for the second semi only. Marquez is no big loss for Barca, when everyone is fit and healthy, he's really the 4th choice centre-back IMO.
Puyol will probably play right back, with the same centre-back combo as against Chelsea today. Sylvinho or Caceres at left back.

Started at Foolham and became a world class defender, midfeilder at QPR before going onto Man U. For a shortish fella, he could out jump 6'6" strikers. He and Terry Fenwick were a really good pairing.

I met him when England were staying in Wellington for that match at Athletic Park. Got his Autograph in my History of QPR book. Good player, nice guy to talk to.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Man you're right, that is tough! So many great players, so few spots.

Bryan Robson counts doesn't he? Was there for the first two seasons but obviously injured for a lot of them... Still, such a wonderful player.

Wow this is tough - hard to leave Ronnie out and Robson didn't seem to be an option. Captain Marvel is my all time United hero though so would have him in there ahead of Scholes

Defiantly, but after he had a wine after being taken off against City I'm starting to extremely dislike him. Especially as he was subbed simply to keep him fresh.

So that's why he's so lethargic up front.

He misses his morning cuppa.
