still worth more than the league cup

Was that before or after your over paid McDonald employees got knocked out?

And its ironic you calling United fans glory supporters. I question how many people became Arsenal fans in 2004.Michael2009-05-29 21:17:14

I would have taken that avatar pic off after yesterday's performance. Carrick is utter rubbish!

it was yesterday dude.  why the hell would the FA youth cup final be in the middle of the season when we lost to Burnley? thats a ridiculous question.

I can't believe I managed to get a response to a glory supporting call..

And i think you'll find that if i did become an Arsenal fan in 2004 that it would be 'hypocritical' not 'ironic'.

Calm... gee.

Obviously I know the Youth Cup was afterwards.

And I'm not saying you became a Arse fan after 2004, most people here are probably proper fans. Just you call "United Supporters" glory supporters. So are half of your fans.

Even in the mid 90's Chelsea were getting gates sometimes of less than 10,000. Plenty of Glory Hunters at the Bridge these days me thinks.

The papers also said the United may offer to buy Kaka at 50mil pounds as part of a mass rebuilding.

Imagine a team where they would have to fight for starting spots, as much as I love United it's a real shame to see such wicked players sitting on the bench.

Didn't help AIG help create this financial mess that we're in? Don't they share a big chunk of the responsibility for thousands of jobs being shed worldwide? Do any of you Man U fans feel some guilt, GUILT, at still seeing AIG on the team's shirts??

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

That's a good question. I think feeling guilty is a bit strong, as the deal was signed three years ago when times were good, and it's not the fan's fault that AIG decided to come on board, and even though the money they have spent is a large amount, compared to the financial losses and bailout figures, we are talking about a fairly minute figure.

Imagine if they hadn't got the extra revenue generated through sponsoring possbily the most recognisable sports teams in the world. Would they be asking for more money from the US government?

One more year with AIG on the strip, then it'll be something else.

AIG were not the largest offer for the shirt sponsor at the time, Mansion (sponsors of spurs now) offered supposedly 70mill compared to AIG 56.5mill. Man Utd didnt want to be associated with gambling is what i think was the reason for not taking up the offer. Funny now that AIG has gambled a lot and lost

Yeah that is true. I think Mansion wanted to build a casino right next to Old Trafford?

Instead they sponsor Tottenham now. Lol.

Found this gem. Not trying to rub anything in United Fans but it gives you a glimpse of United of the past as in the players - remember Alex Stepney anyone??

And this in off soccernet. Pretty disappointing and childish if you ask me. I hope United tell him to get f**ked.

Carlos Tevez's agents would like their player to sign for Manchester City - to spite Manchester United.

Empics

Tevez: from red to blue?

The Argentine striker's advisers are free to negotiate his next move, with any fee to be paid to his owners rather than a club. And they are keen on a switch between the local rivals, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.

Tevez's main man Kia Joorabchian is interested in the City option because of the big money on offer at Eastlands, as well as the chance to prove Sir Alex Ferguson and United wrong.

United had the option of acquiring Tevez at a price agreed at the start of his two-year loan deal, but they chose not to exercise it. There is still the possibility that the player could remain at Old Trafford, but equally it may be decided that his future lies elsewhere.

Liverpool and Tottenham would also like Tevez, but they know they are behind City in the queue and would have to pay a fee in excess of 25m.

A couple of things many forget, City may be the richest club in the world but United still have incredible amounts of money.

And if Tevez goes to City, Bring it on. Would make for a great Derby! Michael2009-06-02 21:59:28

F**k off! Tevez loves the United fans, if he signs for City (which I don't think he will), then it won't  be to spite anyone. Plus, he will stay. I hope.

That pisses me off. Tevez's situation with Kia Joorabchian is f**ked up. I do believe that Tevez has too much respect for club and fans to do that, but with dodgy dealers in the background who knows what can happen.

What a load of rubbish, it wasnt the fans who decided to pay many of the executives their way over the top bonus's.It wasnt the fans who used much of the rescue package money for the same purpose. Guilt no, annoyed it stayed on the shirts after the AIGs  w**kers showed it was all about self interest yes.

Frazier Campbell is back off to Hull, this time permanently for 6million. Good player, Hull fans will be happy.

Yeah he is a good player - get the feeling that it won't be long before he starts nailing goals in the Premier League. I actually think he's a better bet than Welbeck, but I guess time is on Danny's side.

Also supposedly launched a 16mill pound for Antonio Valencia - looking for a replacement for Nani apparently. Would quite like to see Nani sent out on loan (possibly back to Sporting Lisbon), just so he can play week in week out and try and become the finished article.

Would prefer him going to a smaller Prem club, mould him into a finished article EPL player instead of Portuguses Liga one.

Good point, I just like the idea of him going back home and playing in a league where he will have more time to hold onto the ball. Bob each way I guess.

Also if he becomes the finished article in the EPL it might come back to haunt us!
