(The not-so-temporary quite-official) Gooner Thread (Part 2)
great win, must say i had my doubts with Alexis Santi and Coq out. Ozil's pass to ramsey for the first goal was tasty as was the pass for the 2nd goal, Campbell had a great. Wenger switching Theo and Campbell after 10-15mins was a master stroke. i think Ox is really going perform well to over take campbell.
Hopefully Giroud can keep the scoring going.....i reckon it will be a few games before theo hits his straps
we will surely some coin in Jan?
go gunners
I hope it's either of the last two team....
none of them sound great really....trip to russia wont be any fun. I'd prefer Madrid over barca and atletico

In that order for me.
Should learn from Monaco that no one will be easy.

What did you get for your $50? The TAB here had Arsenal as rank favorites.

$150 return. Was online though not at the TAB.

Avoiding any of the Spanish teams will do me.
Edit: None of the other Spanish teams finished second so that should *slightly* improve our odds of avoiding a Spanish team.

Yea same
Trip to Russia is rough, and inconvenient, but I'd still back us in the overall tie.
Perhaps we can have a crack at this with guys coming back in the new year
Probably all depends on how the midfield goes... Wilshere miraculously staying fit would be nice! And a signing perhaps?
Missed the game through work this morn, buzzing about the result, about to chuck on my recording #footporn
60% chance we go Spanish
No use worrying about it. If it is a problem we should of won our group
Thought we did pretty well today. Nacho, Ozil and Cech I'd rate in any side. Wenger gets a lot of stick for transfer dithering but that big coin for Ozil is surely worth every penny.

rojas, so special
Delighted to be through, really professional performance. Did not see any way out of the group after the first 2 losses.
Not really fussed about who we get, as long as it's not Barcelona again. Would just be nice to go into the second leg still in the tie for the first time in bollocks knows how many years.
Bloody hell, you'll recall my "spy" friend on the Singapore tour. He gets around - he was at our game yesterday and today he's in Dortmund and went to their Europa game. Few insights from the stands (cobbled together from a couple of different messages):
Campbell was magnificent. It's no surprise he received a standing
ovation from us and also the entire stadium, given that he played
incredibly well in his loan spell there and they have huge affection for
him.
I really like how his fitness has improved tremendously given that it
was the aspect that people worried the most about. Late in the game he
was still running like mad tracking back and all. I thought he was the
best player on the pitch along with Ramsey. His first touches were
great, off the ball running was dangerous throughout, people don't see
that on tv though. Anyway, the assist is not surprising anymore given
that he did the same against Zagreb, but it looked better in replays
than first viewing. Weight of pass and vision perfect. He should be
first choice right winger now.
And I am in Dortmund now.
Just finished watching their game against PAOK. I swear the Greek fans
are insanely passionate. I mean, Olympiacos fans are expected to be
hyped up yesterday but the PAOK fans were louder than the yellow wall in
a meaningless game.
Yesterday was surprisingly easy. The people around me was jittery at
first but after the first 25 minutes (and especially after Arsene did
the tactical change to switch Theo and Joel around) we knew we had a
good chance to get the job done. Not sure if it was obvious on TV but
Olympiacos didn't have any midfield. Most of their players are either
camping up top for a counter or back in defence. Played right into our
hands. Must admit though we thought it was one of those days again when
Flamini missed that sitter after great work from Giroud and Campbell.
After the first goal the atmosphere pretty much died and it was an even
easier task for the players.
Ramsey was great. He was everywhere. I think he struggled a little at
the start when he kept bombing forward and left our defence wide open to
their counters, they had quite a few dangerous chances there and could
have finished us early. Koscielny and Mert saved us a few times. But he
got into the game and was more disciplined afterwards. Proper box to box
performance. Ramsey in midfield suits us perfectly as well as Cazorla.
He gets onto things a lot more and always offers as an option, moving
into space time and time again in each move. He is not as accomplished
in possession and technique but he makes up for it in many other areas.
Great way to start the week, Ozilla keeps going and going. Decent 8 day break untill city now. Pretty stoked we are putting the sh*t teams aways.
on a completely random note......Will Wilshere hit the heights we all sort of expected? I know he's still young but i just dont see him ever playing long enough without being injured.

Wowser-rooney, that be some great upsets so far this weekend. Wonder if there will be another massive upset tomorrow morning with Leicester failing to take all three points?
Nice to see the HotSp*rts lose in added time but what was the weirdness of Klopp leading the players in a bunch of 'Ole's' to the Kop after gaining one point off of the mightly Baggies? He's bonkers - but the good sort of bonkers, not the Moronio sort!
How old is Leggy? Is he 12 or 72?
Wenger said something along the lines of "our medical team will say he (Sanchez) is not ready, but Sanchez being Sanchez..." when asked if Alexis will be back for City.
I doubt he will feature, probably won't see any changes barring injury between now and then. Think we have enough about us to beat City anyway. Weirdly though i'd actually prefer playing them away at this point. Think we're better suited to playing them away, especially as they have been struggling at home lately.
9am kick off on the 22nd though. Last day of work is the 23rd for me, i think ill make the 21st the second last.
Three for me, and two for them.

Just seen this on Sky Sports News - cringey as fudge.
Can't wait for the City game!
It is traditional in Germany to thank the fans in such a manner.
