Apparently UEFA has a formula for assessing clashes; very scientific and the like. Must have been odd for the players being at home in an away strip.

I put this on the Spurs thread then realised more people would read it on this one!!

An interesting article about a Spurs 17 year old that halfway down the page has a video interview with Liam Brady on Wenger. WTF??

Here

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Get in Koscielny!!!!

Loving these last minute winners. Says a lot about the teams character.

Three for me, and two for them.

Ox and Theo in  Southgate's England side.

No place for Jack sadly.

Interesting that the Ox makes it in. Didn't expect that.

Congrats to Theo, he's really working his as*s off right now. I know it's only a few games in, but it's surprising that he's just not disappearing during any games. In the past, if he nabs a goal or two, you can put your house on him being completely anonymous in the next game. But that's not happening.

I also noticed him being really disciplined this morning - saw him drop into RB a number of times when Bellerin was in the attacking end. And nearly every time Sanchez dropped deep, I saw him notice it and head into a central position to provide an outlet. He's playing more smartly than I've ever seen him play.

Bugger me I didn't think we'd see City loose 2-0 to Sp*rs.

Looks like Sp*rs are up for pushing on from where they fell off last year. Hopefully we can keep the pressure up on them & City and get towards the top by the end of October.

Bit on ESPNFC, saying that Man City actually did come calling for Bellerin in the off-season, but we refused. And with the Barca talk from over there as well, it seems we're moving quickly to lock him down. ESPN reckon we've sounded out his representatives, we want to give him a huge payrise and sign him up for 5 years, straight after the international break.

Bloody good sh*t. I hope we sort it asap.

Very impressed with Theo this morning. This is the game where he has 100% of the time going missing the past - when the team is looking sluggish, nothing is really working. While it didn't really work for him either, he never stopped trying/tracking back/working to get the ball. Good stuff.

Though Mustafi was man of the match. Guy is impressing me more and more every game. Him and Kosc are both very intelligent players and I'm glad they've figured out how to work together - the first game or two had me a little worried.

I was hoping to see a bit more of Perez; hoping his injury isn't bad.

Shaping up to be an interesting season. I feel like us, Liverpool and Spurs are on a very similar level - City are probably a step above when they're playing well, but with De Bruyne out they aren't the same team.

It's pleasing to see Man Utd stumble again.

Yeah its great to see the penny finally drop for theo, i think he has finally relaised he isnt the greatest thing since sliced bread. I read somewhere he's made more tackles this season already then last season.

Yes very keen to see more of perez as well, Mustafi gets better and better.

Santi completed 104 out 106 passes, we really really missed him last season.

And to think we still have ramsey and Giroud to come back as well

I think we have a better balanced team then liverpool, Spurs do look pretty solid i must say.

Our team isn't as well balanced as yours for sure - we seem to be going with a "you score 3 goals and we'll score 4" attitude at the moment. Very tough top 4 to pick for the this season - Spurs are going well but it'll be a very Spurs thing to do, to batter City and then lost to WBA & Hull at some point. On current form, my top 6 would be...

1) City

2) Arsenal

3) Liverpool

4) Spurs

5) Everton

6) Chelsea

Chelsea will get seriously better as the season progresses. They just need to keep it close until Christmas.

I've just got this feeling that they are going to massively implode. Rooney is on the outer, the have made it clear they don't want to be in Europa, Pogba hasn't settled and Ibra isn't bossing it like they may have expected.

The international break is so boring after only just clocking the off season!

- Jenko's back in training and loving it

- Sanchez got player of the month with Walcott coming a close second

- Ozil/Sanchez both looking for $250,000 PW as we look to lock them in (money well spent in my mind)

- Arsene Wenger looks like many different eagles

Chile performance in Quito less so.

Pay Ozil whatever he asks IMO

Per Valeo's post seems that there's been a bit of dodgey rumours surrounding this with the lad on track to play the next U21 match...

Always feel better when our players are back and Wenger get's to eye ball them to assess the damage/lack thereof.

Touch wood we appear to have come away from the international window OK?

Gibbs got a call up to the England squad which is nice for the lad.

Gibbs has been extremely professional, tip my hat to the lad, just gets on with it. Contrasted with Debuchy...

Yay international break over.

Giroud and Ramsey still out. Coquelin is back...

Normally you'd wonder about Alexis with that travel, but... well... it's Alexis. He'll start.

Reckon we'll probably stick with more of the same

                      Cech

Bellerin-Mustafi-Koscielny-Monreal

              Xhaka-Cazorla

           Walcott-Ozil-Iwobi

                    Sanchez

Maybe rotate in some others against ludogorets?

big game Sunday 3:00AM

Our record vs Swansea is appalling, we are on a 5 game streak, Rivals may well drop points this week. No excuses it's a must win game.
