Next up a trip to the Hawthorns.

Really like Jack's assist this morning, nice pass. Hope he can sign an extension.

Baggies now last

Pretty sure playing away to the last placed team is bad news for us

Massive three points then Chelsea after that

Arsenal certainly unlucky with the penalty at the end, but also very lucky to go ahead a few minutes before, draw was probably fair result.

team for this morning:

Cech,

Chambers, Mustafi, Holding,

Bellerin                            Maitland-Niles,

 Xhaka, Wilshere,

Ozil, Alexis,

      Lacazette

Geez, Chambers is going to be torn a new one... not confident here.

if we actually kicked the ball in the goal we could absorb the never ending pile of shark calls we suffer.

And hooray for Jack, enjoyed that.

Deserved the point, but lucky Morata is complete dogshark at finishing.

Three for me, and two for them.

Our end product was unacceptable as well.

Looking at our midfield I suspect they all will have the weekend off v Forest.

Can't be overly unhappy with a 2-2 draw against Chelski.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Still up in Auckland so watched the game on the Bein app on my phone at the gym this morning which was a new one. Almost threw the phone off the treadmill and across the gym at half time when the features shown were Drogba Vs Arsenal and the Invincibles losing to United. Fair result in the end but hard not to feel aggrieved.

Exciting game, we are good to watch this season, but need to finish more chances!

We'd be having a good season were it not for the frustrating blips - watford, stoke, wba etc.

Games against the bigger sides have been even and exciting.

Few injury wobbles in the squad right now - Koscielny, Monreal, Kolasinac all missing is tough on our defence. Thank god for the emergence of Maitland-Niles. Lost concentration a tad when zappacosta beat him for the equaliser, but the rest of his game was pretty phenomenal this morning. He's got all the touches, a bit of pace, a ton of strength, and seems very very calm. I'd love to see him in midfield in the europa league tie.

Wilshere is doing a great job of ensuring we don't miss Rambo, but Walcott coming off the bench instead of Giroud is a huge squad issue. Walcott just isn't a guy who gives you that impact. He's a starting player, always needs games to play himself into form, and frankly isn't good enough for our forward line any longer. We need to be cashing in on him this window. We should be able to bank 30 mil on him, assuming he's got 2 years + to run on his contract.

Like Van Persie before him I guess it was always inevitable Wilshere would have his longest spell of fitness and form since his breakout season in the last season of his contact so he can advertise himself.

That Chelsea game was absolute madness. If not for the keepers/woeful finishing from both sides could have been a much higher total. Arseblogs made some interesting observations over the penalty decisions, reenforcing his view from 12 months ago when Wenger got in trouble with the FA over the same thing that referees just aren't held accountable. Two soft penalty calls against us in two games, and no soft penalty calls for us in the same games where there could have been is just so frustrating to watch - especially when you're keeper just can't keep them out!

Tim Stillman also wrote about bring Theo back and reverting to a 4-5-1 again. He made the observation that Alexis wide left and Theo wide right works really well as Theo provides a mobile wide forward for Alexis to hit with his balls in behind. Would be interesting to see us mix things up like this again for a few games while we're without Monreal, Kosc, and Kolasinac. I also found it interesting that Wenger opted for Holding and Chambers over Mertesacker for the Chelsea game - suspect the captain will get a run against Forrest though.

Man what a crazy few weeks - hope you guys and gals have all had a great summers break (if you've had time off), wishing ya'll the best for 2018 (even you Leggy :))

First day back in the office and had to clean my desk up. Found the timing hilarious given this 2017 calendar was all about our success with the December month focusing on us scoring 4 in the cup for a victory over Hull!

a few tweets are flying around that sanchez has gone to city. anyone else no anything on this?

anyway, whether it happens now or later, im over it. But we better fudgeing have someone lined up to replace him!

Sanchez to City is odd. Why spend money if you're city and flying when you could get him on a free in 6 months and be able to properly re-jog squad to accommodate him? I get Wenger trying to cash in but he's currently equal top for assists and goals - however I think the collective might perform better with him gone, something to really shock the system.

Ultimately if I'm Wenger I'm looking for a CM, CB, and a wide attacker who can come straight into the first 11. Saul from Athletico would be a dream, as would Dybala from Juve, and perhaps Koulibaly from Napoli.

Oh and Le Coq is on his way to Valencia by all accounts, good move for him and hopefully indicates we'll be getting another midfield with only Xhaka, Elneny, and JW10 fit.

The only rumour I've read to players linked with us is Jonny Evans from West Brom. I really hope we look to get someone to replace Sanchez but unlikely to happen in January.
