Hmm, what could go wrong eh, at the USA sell out game, I wonder what the queues will be like????? That has to be slower than scanning a paper barcode or a season pass.

not sure it is - but I would say there would be different phasing as to when people arrive - a lot will come early rather than a late rush.
I 'thought' I had bought tickets last year to games, but then couldn't find any reference to them including when I down loaded the app. Now i am getting pinged with all these game tickets downloads!

My boss at work has bought two tickets and is taking his daughter who doesn't have a phone? How will that work?

Having a rather ancient email address I have been unable to download my tickets on the app even though the ticket purchase was done through that address
Don't even think about ringing the number on the email - you will go round and round in circles and you cannot speak to a human to resolve.
Tried emailing and your response is repeating info you already have
Only solution is to click "other" and you at least get advised a response in 5 to 7 working days
badly need a 5 year old at times like this

Yes, I think this will be interesting as many families are taking their kids who may not have a phone. Also, check you tickets as I booked 8 for the US game but found out we are not seated together 2 tickets (1 child) are seated away from the group with 1 on the other side of the stadium. Go figure!

The tino rangatiratanga flag tends to be embraced a bit more across the country. The united tribes flag is sometimes regarded as a bit more of a northern thing.

We can be a little too precious about our culture. Like everyone overseas is going to know the exact boundaries of what is & isn't, considered offensive in little ole NZ. Given there are hundreds of other cultures around the world that we would know very little, to nothing about. Plenty of Kiwis & other nationalities go to say San Fermin in Pamplona, and do all sorts of dumb things that piss the local Spanish off.

My kids love this song. Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone in NZ.

I assume you'd feel comfortable going over to America then and making a mockery of a traditional native Indian dance or something similar then? You don't think that sort of thing would be in bad taste? Asking the bare minimum of people coming to New Zealand is not being too precious I don't think. 

It's not a major of course and most people shouldn't get bent out of shape about it. It's more of a shake my head at those idiots type thing. If people who are ethnically Maori (not myself) get bent out of shape about it, I think they have every right to.

Nah it's not very easy to not get offended.  Everybody in some way is offended by something.  Whether it is the anti-woke crowd that packs a shark about Christmas being cancelled or cancel culture at all.  Whether it is someone in their day to day life being spoken to like they are dumb, or being spoken down to when they have knowledge.  Or people taking the piss out of someones culture or misrepresenting it.  I'd be shocked if there is anyone on Earth that wouldn't be offended in some kind of a situation.

Mocking the haka is not divisive; celebrating the inclusion of gay people (who you wouldn't have any women's football at all without) is divisive. Conclusion: "divisive" means "anything that makes people who're neither Māori nor gay annoyed". Thus, telling Māori and gay people to sit down and shut up isn't divisive. Right?

The gay community has made a huge contribution to women's football, and definitely helped it progress to where it is now. But if all gay people died tomorrow of some mutant virus concocted up in a Qatari lab, the code would go on. Ditto if all the straight ladies keeled over manana. In each case it would just become a watered down version of the sport.

Who knows if you believe everything Matildas legend Lisa De Vanna said, some straight girls & ladies are likely turned off the sport, with it's strong gay community presence. All sports have a balancing act, making themselves welcome to everyone.

Edit - and those Dutch players weren't mocking the haka. Should their team manager have done a bit of research on Maori culture, and schooled up on what is & isn't offensive. Yipe. Yea but this is literally the point being made here.

Peps can make mistakes.  If you do, you say sorry and everyone can move on.  The point being made is that instead of saying "whoops sorry" they said, nah that wasn't the haka.

If I took a photo of myself wearing clogs in front of a windmill, if someone said that's offensive I would have said "sorry".  I wouldn't say "Nah they aren't clogs".

Essentially this discussion was based on the news article where the dutch FA said it wasn't a haka and deleted the video, and theprof said "no point in denying it, just own it and apologise and move on".

I know when I accidentally upset or offend someone, I say sorry and move on.  Basic empathy.

I’m guessing a chance to give game time to those players like Satchell, Jale, Cleverley, Taylor etc and maybe some fitness boost for Longo, Chance and Percival? Or same starting 11 as on Monday and a chance to see how they can improve from the last performance?
