It's a long shot but it seems like a springboard into Germany after a couple of years.
The cultural contact/relationship between Turkey and Germany go way back.

When's Genclerbiligi's next game?  Any chance he'll play?
looks like there is a break for the international window this weekend with games again next weekend. Genclerbiligi play on the 12th i think. they have not had great start and scored only 1 goal in 3 games so possibly he'll get hurled straight in.

Home on Monday 13th v Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK (18:30 GMT) if Soccernet is to be believed.
Given Genclerbirligi's poor goal scoring record thus far (1 from 3 games), good chance he will get a sniff. No other basis for that conclusion.

I know, I know, its serious!

#30 is available. Would be a good fit - one for each piece of silver

First game tonight isn't it?  Good that he's cleared to play (for now) - hoping he won't be out of his depth.

Smeltz started in a 2-1 win. No goals, although Genclerbiligi's 1st goal was a penalty.

Hope he does well.Turfmoore2010-09-14 08:39:38

Has anyone found an Englisgh language forum for Gencler that might give us an idea of what fans thought ?

How's my driving? - Whine here

I can't even find a match report. It's even harder for Killen and Vicelich's Shenzhen games. All the sites I've found for that only say who scored the goals. So if Killen or Vicelich didn't score you can't tell if they actually played or not.... Frustrating.

I don't think there will be a forum for Genclerirligi in English.

I thought Soccerway provided teamsheets and subs for the Chinese Super League games (maybe not?)

Wouldn't be much help if he is playing in Turkey.

Genclerbirligi lost 3-0 to Karabukspor, Smeltz appears to have played the full 90 but obviously disappointing result

Full 90 and a penalty for shane in a 1-0 win

Sounds like they did well to hold on with their subsitute keeper sent off in 74th minute

Three for me, and two for them.
