Draper too, if you count the qualification rounds.
Tyler Boyd - USA (Sivasspor | Turkey)
Okay cool. Hopefully Trabzonspor's appeal fails, and Beşiktaş can progress through UCL qualifying to the real thing.
Always interesting to see a 'Kiwi' in the UCL. Would be 2nd Nix alumni after Singh.
Just an update on this - CAS rejected Trabzonspor's appeal, so Besiktas will enter the Champions League qualifying rounds in the non-champions pathway.
Beşiktaş have drawn Greek side PAOK, in UCL 2nd qualifying round.
Looks a single leg only knock out fixture, hosted by PAOK, next week 25th August.
Loser to enter the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League third qualifying round (Main Path).
Subbed at HT (only sub made) with Beşiktaş 3-1 down against Greek side PAOK, in UCL 2nd qualifying round knockout tie.
Same score still at 70 mins, so Beşiktaş look like going out early and into the Europa League third qualifying round (Main Path).
Finished 3-1 to PAOK.
As noted by RR elsewhere injured.

Hopefully fit for that mooted Euro USA verus Euro AWs game if it happens. That would be interesting!
Boyd with his sleeve tatts scores, as Beşiktaş (3rd last season) begin their new campaign with a 3-1 win at Trabzonspor (2nd last season).
A very nice strike. He was subbed off at 81 mins with Beşiktaş 3-0 up.
This 2nd video, shows that actually without a deflection, shot may have gone wide!

struggling to see any deflection there. looks like a great shot to me.
great shot, defender gets a head to it, which, if anythign lifts the ball but certainly doesnt bend it towards goal - was always going in
Looks like Boyd has finally settled into his new club. He took a while and took plenty of flack from the clubs supporters but he has come good. Will be interesting to follow his progress this season with the USA.

Game before a qualifier against PAOK he was subbed off at HT. I imagine Turkish football supporters to be a pretty volatile lot. As a player you would need a thick skin. One minute the rooster, next just a feather duster.
But yeah hopefully that mooted Euro AWs v Euro USA happens. That would be interesting.
Full game & a yellow in a 1-1 draw verus Antalyaspor.
Host Pjinaker's Rio Ave in the Europa League later this week.
Reports from Turkey say he has been frozen out, as his club now has too many visa players
Boyd has a legal contract for another few years. They can only get rid of him by finding another club who will buy him....and most Western Europe clubs have closed their transfer window or they could pay him out of his contract. Which would be very expensive.
I think this is more about clubs feeling the economic strain due to Covid. Clubs all over Europe are really hurting. No crowd revenue, no season ticket sales, no hospitality revenue, huge drop off in merchandise sales and lower sponsorship. It’s the perfect storm. Add to problem is that broadcasters are in trouble as well and in some countries are wanting to renegotiate the broadcasting arrangements. Boyd is an expensive import so it’s not surprising they may want him out.
Guess he has been re-registered, he has been named in the squad for this weekends game.
Reports overnight that he is gonna be loaned out to another club.
Besiktas' Tyler Boyd will join Turkish side Sivasspor on loan for the rest of the season, several outlets reported Sunday. #USMNT https://t.co/SXKzSpYLZA

Bought on at 55 mins in a 0-0 draw with BB Erzurumspor (18th).
His first playing time since 5th October ie 4 months out.
Sivasspor 14th
Starts but subbed at HT, in a 4-1 win at his old club Ankaragücü (2nd last).
Sivasspor (11th) up 1-0 when he came off.
Scored against Galatasaray last week, first goal for his new club.
Be interesting to see if he gets picked for USA who play in some March friendlies, against Jamaica (Germany) & Nth Ireland (Belfast).

Earlier last week was not included in a USA side of predominantly Europe based players, that will play friendlies against Jamaica (Austria) and Northern Ireland (Belfast).

Be interesting to know if he wasn't picked for those Euro based USA friendlies in March, or if he wasn't available.
... Just kidding 😂😂
Great to see him bang a few goals in!
