DO NOT, I repeat, Do not, waste your time and money on a British film called UFO. Van Damme's name is attached to it and he appeared for all of 2 minutes. This film is so bad it is bad, not so bad that it is good. This has to be a contender up there with Plan 9 from outer space, rated as the worst film ever made. It's not even so bad that it's funny. It's not funny.

What did make me laugh is the cover says "Try to remain calm". WTF, try to remain in your seat and not hit the eject button more like it. The only very small redeeming feature is the two chicks in it are hot and the blonde has a great set of jugs. Shame they can't act.

Watched "Quick Change". A  decent Bill Murray comedy. I'm sure we have all had Taxi drivers like he encountered.

Just as well as I can't measure her jugs until she gets home from work.

She's got the tape measure you see.

Local Hero, an older film from the 80s set in Scotland as an oil company try to con the locals into signing over their land. Very dry movie with a brilliant cast. I like watching it every 6 months or so. I guess it suits my humour anyway. Check it out for yourselves.

Yeah it's a goody Burt Lancaster and Denis Lawson. Sadly remember when it first came I was around 12.

Chris Curtis always offer something to a film. Good that he is not cast as the usual arab/mexican baddy. Not a great fan of kiwi film, although you don't do too badly with Campion and Jackson, but will probably watch this.

Good stuff I really what to see this film.

Saw Napoleon Dynamite fo the first time the other day as I'd never gotten around to see it.

Very Funny.

I cannot believe one critic at the time suggested they could have made Napoleon Dynamite more likable. The film works because he's such a twunt. He was probably the last nerd that was actually a proper nerd before The big Bang Theory made nerds unrealistically sexy and funny.

Great movie.

Wanna see that Sci Fi flick too. Last night I was watching Grandma's Boy for the umpteenth time. Still just as funny as the first time. I recommend it for those whom are not too serious.

The Z-Nail Gang - A NZ movie, saw the preview in Whakatane, pretty cool one about a community rising up to defy a mining company trying to start mining in their area.

Two Films from a few years back. Fanboys is one about 4 guys and a lady that do a road trip to break into Luca's ranch and view Star Wars epsiode 1 before its release. Has cameos from Danny Tejo, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and William Shatner. Has a Star Wars V Star Trek under theme. And Grandma's Boy is the other. which is done by the Adam Sandler company and has many of his regulars making cameos. Story about an XBox game tester finding digs with his grandma, creating his own game and his itneractions with his co-workers. Is bloody funny as imho.

If it features a pool room and rissoles then it has my vote.

went to a secret cinema viewing of Back to the Future last weekend, which I enjoyed a great more than I was expecting. It is basically a slightly interactive viewing of the film, surrounded by loads of drunk people dressed like they are auditioning for parts as extras in Happy Days. There is an Enchantment under the Sea dance, a performance by Marvin Berry and then the actual film is projected onto the clock tower while everyone sits (stands, dances) in the town square whooping, hollering and getting even more drunk.

Reading that back, I have made it sounds ghastly, but you cannot give too much away without falling foul of the authorities (probably).  Here are a couple of reviews that may make it sound a little bit cooler.

Oh, the other thing that I loved is no one can take mobile phones in (without going down the "smuggling items into prison" route) so there isn't the people continiously filming everything that is happening around them.  Took me back to a happier time.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

The Expendables 3. If you want action, mindless violence, a dry sense of humour and some brilliant injoke quips, then this is the flick from you. From the opening moments when Wesley Snipes tells them what he was in jail for, they keep on coming. Harrison Ford AND Kelsey Grammer are NOT out of place in this film either. Mel Gibson plays an excellent bad guy.

I loved it. I wasn't expecting an Academy Award acting or story line. I got what I was expecting to see and some. Ignore any plot holes, just enjoy it for what it was designed to be.

I figured he must have been on the other side of the camera.
