From what I have seen of Broom I rate Franklin as a better batsman.

Yep, I think a lot of people here don't realise what a good batsman Franklin is.

Frankies batting has improved vastly since he has come back from injury, I suspect it has to do with the months he was playing when he couldn't bowl......I suspect Broom is actually better than what we've seen so far, he may just be a little gun shy........

I reckon the selectors want Franklin's bowling to get back to where it was before they select him again.....

Agreed. Even has a double ton in first class cricket and a ton in a test match.

Hello and welcome to Cricinfo's coverage of the fifth and final ODI being played at the Gabba. The series is tied 2-2 after two impressive fightbacks from the home team.

There's some bad news to begin with. It's raining heavily in Brisbane and we are certain to have a delayed start

thing which pissed me off bucknor was staying aussie w**ker wanted off so they go with the gay aussie umpire, cricket in australia is a joke until the umpires are both neutral rather than 1 aussie 1 neutral

It looked to me like the Aussie umpire wanted to stay on and Bucknor wanted to go off...

I'm fairly sure Bucknor being the senior umpire would have made the decision. I was surprised they played as long as they did with it raining pretty hard in the first few overs of the NZ innings. I'm not even sure Ponting wanted to go off when they did. Anyway nice innings from Guptil really impressed me last night.
