Only saw bits of yesterday, mainly the last session. But if we lose or draw this test I will be fuming, massive chance to win a series and we better take it !

Looking forward to the start of play.

i watched most of the days play yesterday, except when i turned it off in rage when Flynn got out at 145/5,   McCullum and Vettori were amazing.

Hope we can go on to 400+ this innings, set a lead of 200 and we will really have to pull a New Zealand to lose from there. Southee to slog a quick 50 me thinks.

Vettori is just the man. Don't be hating on Flynn; he just stayed with Super Dan (the real one!) until Vettori had his eye in, then left the glory for someone else. Class act.

First time watching cricket online. Quite good picture.

50 partnership between Vettori and Tuffey

Tuffey looking a hell of a lot more solid than Guptill or Flynn did tbh

This is brilliant to watch. Tuffey batting brilliantly.

He actually really does look comfortable at the crease.

Great catch to dismiss Dan the Man.

Interesting watching cricket online is better than watching football online. Not stop start. Better quality picture.

50 run partnership.

EASY. EASY. EASY.

Three for me, and two for them.

How was that not caught ? Dreadful fielding.

over 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
Give Darryl the opportunity to get to 100 and if gets out or gets there declare then.
Permalink Permalink
over 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
yeah they won't declare now that Daryl has 100 in his sights. I don't really see the point in an O'Brien/Martin partnership so maybe declare then.

Plus, the psychological effect that a declaration will have on the pakistani's that they didn't get all 10 wickets

Meanwhile, at the Basin Reserve, a stunning 225 run stand between Ili Tugaga and Luke Woodcock has rescued the Firebirds. Tugaga (ex Welly Coll boy) 103 and Woodcock 220. Brilliant stuff !

Hard luck on Tuffey. Really wanted to see him get his century.

The question now is, can we win this by tonight?

Three for me, and two for them.

no

won't be won tonight, not on a drying napier deck, best batting today and tomorrow - potential for rain on Tuesday

Queenslander 3x a year.

We have a massive lead, unless it rains it will be a massive f**k up if we lose this.

guna be a tough day for the bowlers tommorow. still got a 120 run lead but would like a wicket early tommorow, you get the feeling if we get one, more may follow but that pitch looks to be getting better to bat on

kaneria was getting some decent turn at times, hopefully dan can aswell

still 2 days to play so the game is still very much there for us to win

Draw I reckon. Unless we can snap up some quick wickets today, which on this pitch seems unlikely.

Oh Martin Guptill first over of the day picks up a wicket. Where did that come from !?
Permalink Permalink
over 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
what the f**k just happened?!
I turn it on just as Guptill bowls the wicket ball..wow

how does McIntosh do with the ball?

Can't be worse than with the bat.

Three for me, and two for them.

I couldn't believe it at first, I thought it was some sort of highlights from some other time. But wow, great captaincy from Dan the Man to give Guppy a bowl.
