he craves the attention his show gets. I remember returning back to New Zealand after 5-6 years in the UK - where the breakfast television there was not so...Henry - and the first thing I remember doing upon my return was switching on the TV in my shabby little motel room in Auckland and seeing Paul Henry telling people how they should feel about the Kahui thing. The story was awful and needed media attention - it didn't need someone flaming up the story and stating that because they were on the TV you should believe what I say. While I felt the story was awful, a part of me felt a bit frightened that the media had got to the point where someone was telling you how to think on a state broadcaster. Very scary waters that is.
Subsequently I realised what Henry's role was on the show and paid no attention to him. I never watched the show again because I didn't get a toss what Henry had to say and it was obvious that it was the Paul Henry show.
Henry will not be starved of the attention he so craves in this country, he has an army of loyal followers and a state broadcaster who need to appease that will see to that.
