is putting 7 past Upper Hutt a better guage? Pretty awesome that a team with the average age of 16.5 are competing in this league anyway. They must be pretty good to watch.

Fuck this stupid game

Where did all the wellington United refugees end up? Heard that clearances were being denied because players hadn't returned track suits. Absolute joke what happened to the players.

Probably should return their tracksuits then.

16.5 years old would make them about .5 years older than upper hutt side excluding Pedro

For reals? Who is playing for Upper Hutt (apart from Pedro)?

not quite for reals but apart from Pedro old heads would be Hamish mcLachlan and Steven Thomas both under 20 then a lot of 18 year olds and a bunch of u 17's

Whilst on the subject of "Tracksuitgate"....Saw Wellington United at Petone & noticed their players wear their Phoenix apparel pre game - I haven't seen them in a clubroom post game so guessing they wear them there as well ?...Happy to stand corrected

Is this because they have no Wellington United branded gear to wear ?.. Or is it because they have no "pride" in Wellington United & just prefer to strut around in their Phoenix gear ?

Surely they know. But did notice at game on Friday that they wear United shirts with the club logo, but all their tops also have the Nix logo on it.

Surely this is a rhetorical question?

Wgtb Utd is just a vehicle. A means to an end.

I'm watching UH first team train right now (anything for the latest gossip) and can confirm a distinct lack of adults.

Not sure that shuttles are the way to turn results around though...

Think he was on the squad list. So probably.

Can confirm the balls are now out and the running has stopped.

Actually in fairness to Ped I think the running might have been just the ressies.

Wharf 2 Petone 0. Karori were tipped to do well against the Petone 2nds

who lost 12-0 five days ago, and up 2-0 at the break (Sutherland and Ramsay)

they looked OK. But the second half was very scrappy and disappointing footy.

Actually, what happens for them in the Chatham Cup?

I imagine Wellington United would compete in it like every other club, and like they have done in any other year.

How come Sean Clarke was playing for Petone when his name is on the suspensions list? Or is that wrong?

I dunno. They have hit the ground running having had the longest/best pre-season ever to hit Cap Prem. But I think teams like Wharfies will still be contenders for the league. I can't see WeeNix United keeping it up. But at the moment, shark they are good.

i think it's just a blue shirt kind of thing

even applies in the EPL Chelsea, Millwal ect just poor discipline all of them ;-)

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Sounds like they did alright against United, who have been thrashing everyone.

I heard United scored 2 goals towards the end.

Anyone able to give an official rundown of that game?

Permalink Permalink

yeah sounds like a very good effort from KCU considering their other results. Maybe having Barry and Dan at centre back (I assume) helped them. Heard they denied Nix time on the ball well. Then near the end they bought on McGarry and Rogerson who sound like they are the business. Pen and a free kick won the game.
