Did I hear something about Paston turning up there?

possibly. Think CCM will have a better shot at luring him out of retirement.

NW had a game Vs Mar during the week and from reports there is some good new talent at NW for the new season as long as they are used correctly they might make a difference and mean the team is not going to be a flash in the pan at prem level.

final score was 2-1 to mar and 1-1 at half time with NW opening the scoring.

don't know who or what team mar put out but not a bad result for NW even so.

rumour has it that the NW second team might of been saved from the drop to div4 as well so that will also help the cause and keep the two top teams playing a higher level football this year.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

NW resies are down as being in four. Can't see that changing unless they pull in board favour again

Did IBU play Wharf in a friendly this week? Result?

They did indeed. IBU won 4-2. Neither side full strength. Greenie wheeled out plenty of excuses.

Is Greenie coaching the cap prem team?

Nah Reserves or Thirds I think. Pretty sure Martin Garcia got that gig.

how big a favour Feverish ????

how do those rules work again?

first relegation then promotion?

i maybe wrong as we all know from previous situations recently at capital football that there seems to be rules for some and other rules for the special people…..

if you think this is the case again as per your comments above i feel you need to get some comment from the people in the driving seat.

The Fifa code of Ethics may need looking at again now that sepp blatter is gone and they can be applied without distortion from above.

but i am sure it is not like the last time (11 teams) and its just teams pulling out and others not wanting promotion like what happens every year.

Wests third team bailing would have saved them - though I'm not sure how they could have know that was going to happen. A guy in that Wests team didn't even know til I told him the other day ha

well i don't think it was poaching of players from NW as Wests also got promoted to premier last year so where did these players go and why? or have they gone into other teams?

it means Wests outside squad player option/support for there Premier team is going to be playing in a lot lower division like NW was looking at having to do so it is strange.

but you also need to have a quality of player to play at the higher cap level otherwise its just not going to be a fun year loosing almost every game so it may be a rebuilding choice to bring some youth though and allow them to win some confidence lower down the grades and grow with less pressure.

still wests performance in Premier will be the proof of the pudding as to whats happening.

North welly vs Mar even game. Japanese guy for north Wellington looked the goods, good

Touches, quite strong on the ball. Appreciated his second a bullet header that left the keeper grasping fresh air. Pete Howe player of the game though for my money. With a couple of players coming back north welly will be competitive.

Was 3-3

Outrageous header from BNU Keeper to level it

BNU came back from behind 3 times

Well impressed with the young lads from Wests, remind me of the Phoenix team from last season

Good point for BNU

Are Tawa still as strong as were in the Central League? A good start smacking the Olympic kids by 6.

What are the thoughts about the Premier League? I think it will be very competitive league this season.

Good result for BNU also
