local advantage may be the key for some of the teams in this grade and I for one like to see the clubs with grass and/or sand base grounds get some possible advantage as I feel the team who plays the best in all conditions should prevail and take top spot anyway.

Very interesting weekend considering Karori's suspension and injury hangover from the Cup. Should've never entered!

Norths is the nickname of the rugby club

from speaking to people that played for Northern AFC, they were called Norths as much as North Wellington is

No excuse from Wests - Tawa took their chances and we didn't. Pitch was fine

Given all the rain that fell up to and including Saturday, to have two games played with no issues would be pleasing for Tawa. They had their field re-laid at the beginning of last season so it appears that it has been successful. In years gone by the pitch would be stuffed by this time of year.

If the game was for 10 minutes and there was a dodgy ref.....draw

That's a great piece of mid season recruitment. Guess they needed to with all the suspensions stacking up!
