They had Higgins and Le Prou that I know are both first team, not too sure about anyone else, they looked different to when we last played them but dont think it was stack.

They finished from two defensive lapses. Think we had enough opportunities to win but didnt take our chances. Going to be a tight run in.

Le Prou played half a game for the 3rds on Saturday, So you can say that he was called up rather than being dropped.  Has been out for most of the season and Saturday was his first run about in over 7 weeks.  And Higgins played due to a red card for the centre back on Saturday.  Otherwise all the players are current 2nd team members.

Haha, so you heard it then.  Pretty poor form for the ref not to shake his hand afterwards though when he went up to him after the game.  his first ever sending off and he is in his late 40s.   Both poor decisions as well for the 2 yellows. But thats football.

how's that? From memory after the first few games they were on the wrong side of the ledger by no more than one or two goals. First time I have seen them play today and thought they were decent. Better football than the oppo. Oh and I remember they drew with you not too long ago - and you are a second team - only avoiding the drop by getting Higgins to play for you

meh meh vistas were all good v us today no need for that talk... game was sh*t in sh*t conditions.. both teams could have had red cards in the 2nd half.. our goal came from a great simulation dive but hey the ref called it so we will take it...

were happy we got 3 points but hard luck to karori they probably deserved a point the way they came out in 2nd half...

I'm sure they play the best football every week.  That's why they have only won a single game and have the worst defensive record in the league.  Maybe I'm missing something though, the education system isn't that flash in the hutt!!

Im with Huttboy, Vistas were horrible on saturday, as they have been all season. They dont belong in capital 2, and some of there players shouldn't even be playing football after a couple of off the ball incidents. When one center back punches a player in the head, while hes on the ground for no reason, and only gets a yellow card is ridiculous, and the other grandad at center back throws a blatant elbow after hes got the free kick. The reff should have sent two Vistas players off, for two separate incidents. At the end of the day who gives a s*it, Vistas are a bunch of wan*kers. F*uck off to capital 3 you "Dirty cheating toe rags" And you cant play football when the pitch is that bad, but Tawa deserved to win.

bobboltontawa2, didn't look like simulation, when your running fast (witch you cant really relate to) if you get clipped in mud like that, of course you will stumble over, and it was a penalty. No doubt about it. The reff did the right thing by giving the penalty and not sending the keeper off. And perhaps thats why the reff did not send there center backs off for the punches and the elbows. He felt sorry for Vistas for giving the penalty, and he also felt sorry because they are a horrible team, and stringing 5 passes together with 11 players is hard enough for them, let alone if they had 10 players...

Maybe that was one of their bad games? when we played them they werent filthy or that poor. Some pretty dirty players in a few other teams, the Nut-grabber comes to mind. Just feel that level of abuse is over the top.

am i the wicked witch of the east or west?

and stringing together 5 passes would be difficult for any team on a pitch like that!
not sure where you get vistas being horrible from they looked alright to me probably had even amount of chances, they had far more possession as we sat back and let them bombared our goal.

who knows maybe you were playing (or whinging) in a different game?

Ok, here's my view.
Twice we played the Vista's and twice they equalized in the last minute of the game. They weren't the flashiest team in the league but they played fair and square and deserved the points they got off us. Their CB was a bit chatty, but nothing terrible. The only horrible thing I saw was that dude's mustache!!

There are much worse teams in the league if you're talking about mongrel. I was lucky enough to be nut-grabbed by an un-named UH player and in our first leg vs Olympic I just about went to the gun shop (though I must say they were very nice yesterday). In our two matches against Stop Out there should have been about 20 yellow cards and one of our lads suffered a broken bone in his leg. We gave as much as we got, needless to say and our CB dropped a hell of a tackle which went unpunished. Still can't really believe it.

So I don't know if perhaps the fear of relegation went to Karori's heads or maybe it was just one of those days?

I didn't think Wharfies were to bad on Saturday, they knocked alot of long balls but there weren't to many other options in those conditions.  Both times we've played them they've looked okay and am actually surprised they have picked up so few points this season.  They've got a few good players I reckon.
I also don't think they were that dirty on Saturday.  I didn't see the punch so can't comment.  I did see the elbow though.  To be fair to the wharfies player he had been fouled about 3 or 4 times before the ref blew it up and so he was most likely pretty frustrated.  A lot of refs would have sent him off though.  Not much in it though.  I think other than those 2 incidents both teams were as bad as each other.  A few of the younger tawa B players lost their cool and could easily have been sent off as well with some stupid tackles.
Just my take on the game though which was played on a terrible pitch.  All the best to wharfies for the rest of the season.

Vista's weren't that badder team. Pretty much every team in the grade is beatable; regardless of which club you're at... there is no standout teams in this grade.

As for the penalty, the pace of this player was just phenomenal and the footwork to take it round the keeper was simply audacious... There was nothing the keeper could have done for such an outrageous "rainbow flick" over the keeper other than to take him out.

Keeping to the league... anyone hear of the huge transfer of Aaron McCash from Tawa B's to Tawa A. Word is McCash fell out with the management team at Tawa B, being quoted as saying "I didn't like the squads rotation policy." Ironically, McCash was on the bench for his Tawa A debut, making a nice 10 minute appearance at the conclusion of the match.

Goalazo10, don't know what your on about, we all know that Bobboltontawa is an extremely pacey player, especially when he borrows his team mates world cup vapours.

Don't think many people lost their cool. Basically number 10 from tawa had a few things to say and went in hard, but wasn't much in it really. As for the punch, he just got up and hit him in the head. Totally uncalled for and should have been sent off. Also, it didn't help at all that the owners of the tawa club were being complete twats on the sideline trying to rark everyone up, which didn't help at all. Horrible to play football on though, but hey, just one of those days.

Its a contact sport and if you get fouled it happens, but then to throw an elbow after is ridiculous. I think that the younger players had a right to say something when people are throwing punches and elbows, its f**king ridiculous

that was me who supposedly elbowed the guy. I did do something - on account of that guy chasing me for 20 metres and grabbing me the whole way. End of the day it was my free kick and the dude was having a whine about nothing.
I didnt see the punch - I believe it a reaction to something the guy said (without getting into details). End of the day his punch and my 35 indescretions were the only things the Vistas did - and that is the first time I have played for them so it purely down to me if you are having a whinge about them being dirty.
That dude for the pen took a couple of steps then when he realised the ball was going out he launched himself. Fair play though.

Everyone gets a bit heated on the field during a game. In those condition you are always going to get scrappy challenges here and there. Would be interesting to see Karori v. Tawa on a decent pitch, then number 13 for Tawa could really show us his class.

You didn't supposedly elbow him. You DID elbow him. Man I wish I could restrain myself from elbowing someone in the head because he grabbed my shirt and chased you for 20 metres! You should get a victoria's cross for having to endure that. Good to see older blokes setting a good example for the younger generation.

Just talked to John Key, medal should be on its way to you on express post tonight. Also contacted the UFC to see if you could get a spot in their roster, but you were slightly overweight. Guts. Maybe less time posting on yellowfever and a few more trainings?
