Sounds like same Raf, different season - gets his money from whatever club is willing to pay him, then just can't be bothered putting in the effort on the field.  I'm not saying he didn't want to score, but his effort and workrate in Central League is reknown for being sub standard.

If I was a betting man, I'd be happy to wager he gets an "injury" within a month and won't play for the rest of the season.

Uncle Steve and co, your claims about the Greeks winning anything are laughable!!  Wake up and smell the coffee

Ross was also pissed at those disgraceful comments toward him by a guy on your side Radioman. That bloke Church I'm told. If I'd known who it was at the time he wouldn't have been allowed in the clubrooms.

bubbles blew it against the orangie today!
up 1 nill and dominating they gave away a soft goal. jimmy then made it 2-1 just befor the break.
after 1/2 time the bubbles came out looked good, got a peno, and a 2 on 1 which raff missed both (the 2 on 1 dale made a cracker of a save).
then the bubbles exploded
diamonds went up 3-2 until churchie went on an agressive run down the left and straight into the box setting up jimmy for a tap in. 3all

Intersting game, bubbles should have killed the orangie but they couldnt score in a brothel then the orangie came into the game

Seems to be their theme for the weekend, they had numerous chances against Petone on Friday and didn't pot one of them in a 0-0 draw....

Jimmy should have at least had a hattrick that day and there were several other guilty parties...in saying that, Petone missed a fair few as well and both keepers had good games.

Salmon - We were all pretty gutted to give up a 3-2 lead with under 10 mins to play. Whether we deserved to be in that position is another question (and some here have given their opinion).  So for me it was definately 2 points dropped.

O well i cant say much here, ive had high expectations for the squad and this years title race but unfortunatlly as of now we havent performed to the best of our ability and suffered big time.

Hopefully the boys will wake up and smell the souvlakia, and put away their chances and make a run for this central league title, and i speak for mysef here when i say that i am disapointed in how we started the season but still have hope we can bounce back and make a reasonable attempt at the title.

From front page...

"Cowan, the Manawatu national league captain, had a particularly impressive first 45 minutes, often taunting the Manawatu defence with his probing runs and his knack of putting his supports into open spaces with well-timed passes. "

He taunted the Manawatu defence???

i dont know who you are(rightstr) but if you know me at all you will know that i would be on roscos side if anything was said to him, even if it was from one of my team mates. what ever happened should have been brought up there and then and not on this forum. by the sounds of what your saying you know the person who aparnetly said something and you did nothing about it.

for you definatly, you played very well, others in your team might be thinking they were lucky to get a point after their preformances. as a hole your team did work alot harder than what i saw against fiji

Yep.  As he made his probing runs he shouted out: "na, na, you can't catch me!"

And after each well-timed pass:

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

hard to believe there is someone who doesn't know who I am! The comment was made after the final whistle, I heard some of it, but the whole comment and the player's name wasn't confirmed to me until after everyone had left. As I said if I had known all that it would certainly have been brought up, if necessary during the after match speeches.

Unfortunately Olympic do not have a great record with this kinda thing.  Last year it was making Monkey noises.

Seems some things never change.  And if it was heard by people in the vicinity of the bench then I'm sure Olympics coach/management staff would have heard it too.  If so, then I would expect them to deal with it.

It was after the game so probably happened when you were picking me up off the ground.
Churchie apparently said it (as had been posted a couple of times).

I havn't heard the full rant but from what I've been told (unconfirmed and second-hand material) it was uncalled for.

good to see the diamonds getting the season going.onwards and upwards.
doesnt surprise me about the comment from churchy.
would of had to have been something if ross fired up like that, wether it was meant or not.
anyhow, cmon the diamonds, and it looks like an interesting league this year.

Yeah kills me to admit it but we really did stuff up the start to the season. Some call it unlucky against petone when we couldnt finish, and against united who put up a fight, but at the end of the day it always comes back to us.

I know the boys will bounce back and they have the full support of their boys and i cannot wait till this weekend.

Bring on miramar and may they feel the wrath of the greek army who invented math.

My 5 cents anyway.

Don't tarnish me with your brush Nic. I may give a bit of stick while on the field to rark the opposition up but wouldn't carry on after the game.

I think the Olympic boys need to get some Turkish lads into the squad if they want to do any good

Well...it comes a time that what happens on the field stays on the field, and any lessons learned ...taken on-board ...this is the case... FULL STOP END OF STORY

Basically the Greeks just need to shut their mouths and play some football. At the moment they are sh*t at both and can't win any games. Before they realise they are a downfall to themselves its already too late.
3 points from 3 games, thats nothing to be running your mouth off at, at any stage, on or off the field. Think some of their players need putting in their place.

Nic, its Bazza mate. If you read Dale's blurb earlier it states it was after the match. I'm with Jamesamk to a degree - our boys and fans need to watch what they say on here and concentrate more about the footy on the field.
Everyone is quick to bag the greeks but at the end of the day we're not doing ourselves any favours by stating crap on here.

Theres more to life than football lads - move on
