My Dear boy ( I can only assume that your are one...) If your don't like Olympic or any other Club for that matter it is perfectly ok..it is your right to have an opinion and also to have the freedom of speach to say so. However the minute you start becoming racist and use racing comments then that is NOT OK . In making these comments hiding behind your "username" that makes me  even more determined to find out as to who you are, NOT to punish you but to welcome you in "our culture and to our club" so you can see and possibly learn something for the first time in your life.
You are more than welcome to contact me.

Chairman Olympic FC
I hid the post in question, it was much too abusive.

May be the comments should be "left" for people to see them and make their own mind about them...

Cheers

I don't see the point in leaving such posts on here - the consensus here is that it was entirely inappropriate, and there is no need to keep giving it attention that it clearly does not deserve.
Fair call.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

I might be missing something but how can the Lower Hutt board/committee let this continue. Surely it makes more sense to get rid of the coach rather than lose quality players.

No I'm not your team mate (damn), although every morning when you walk past me on the Terrace I swoon.

A coach is not supposed to be your mate otherwise it results in a conflict of interest in team selections. Every coach is under pressure to produce results and Macca coachs like he used to play..Hard. Good on him for keeping his players on the ball. Obviously the players don't like hard work like the #7 in the U17's yesterday. It's not all roses in the fast lane, players need to respect his comments to keep improving their ability and if they are used to having everything handed to them on a silver platter, then move on and give someone who is willing to learn and constantly improve the opportunity.
Tip, next time he goes off at you, ask him privately after training what he wants you to improve on so that YOU can adapt to his vision of how he wants his team to perform.

Ah, the rare and now extinct Colvey.

Anyway, Macca has obviously made some hard calls and now he'll live or die by his results.  Seems to be doing okay so far though...

Takes a fair amount of bollocks to make the tough calls when it's your livelihood too.  If he blows out here it'll cost him his job, not just his coaching gig like most coaches in the league.

High stakes.

I might go and watch Wests vs Lower Hutt this weekend, could be a cracker.

Maybe not but Marist and Wainui having a 2 - 2 draw is helpful to them.

I heard the red was well deserved for a dangerous studs-up tackle.

Wasn't there myself though.

I was there... it was a studs up tackle but could have been a yellow. Olympic do whine a lot though and Miramar were a lot better

according to the Dom 'nobody likes Miramar- and they like it like that'. Probably not a good thing for Team Wellington

Think what happens to the context of that article when you include "to play" after "...Matt Calcott is the first to admit his is an unpopular team..."
Not really that arrogant. Funny how its 'Dom' post when it suits but 'doom' post when you dislike what they have to say Greenie.

The refs are shocking in these leagues.Week after week they are determined to ruin good games of football. How can anyone say it was a dangerous studs up tackle when the ball was played. It was a 1 footed tackle and if a player doesnt get his whole body behind that sort of tackle he will get injured. Both players walked away so where the f**k is the problem. Both players contested the ball and the olympic player was very unlucky and it makes players think twice about putting in firm tackles as the ref's are giving cards out like its flipping christmas. The board of ref's need to allow players and clubs make valid appeals as i saw sunday there was a film crew there so the appeal has to be heard surely if there is footage??? You cant tell me that the amount of cards that go through each week peple dont think something is wrong.we are talking about a physical sport and the cards for verbal are probably through frustration because the refs are weak and F**king poor!!!

1) What do you mean the ball was played?
2) Someone doesn't have to be injured for it to be dangerous

That sort of attitude is where the problem is.

There does not even have to be contact for it to be deemed a dangerous tackle.

If we go by your view on laws we will have a bunch of meat heads going in studs up while footballers back off because they don't want to run the risk of getting injured.

Deffinately a dangerous tackle. Don't know why people are disputing the decision.

Fuck this stupid game

^ This.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
