Yeah Easty you guys did get on top of us as well at points, your formation worked well at times really made it difficult work for our midfielders. I think Miguel should definitely get a few dick of the days for that miss lol. You guys don't really deserve to be where you are on the table. Was awesome to play against you, been a long time since played alongside you back in the College days haha! Good luck for the rest of the season bro looking forward to coming down to Bell Park to play you, mainly because I live about 100metres away and I can walk home after :D

Yea hopefully the return leg is as entertaining as the 1st!
You guys definitly have something good going on down there at naenae tho, was good to actually see some people watching a champs premier game, I cant remember the last time ive seen that many people at a local premier game. Great club atmosphere after the game for the speeches and that aswell, it was good to struggle to get a seat.
Cheers mate.
Good luck to you guys also.
See you at bell.

Mum10 do not take it serious its only a bit of fun. have you ever considered taking up journalism.
By the way stop diving and arguing with refs and you could be a very good player.

As a neutral i watched the same game two bad mistakes by Naenae and two first half goals. second half Naenae loked like the team that was more likely to score. However cannot see Ib winning the league and Naenae will have to take the chances they get to stay up.

maybe, but it seems every week or so there is a post about naenae making mistakes at the back...  when does this not become a problem? August??  Lower Hutt will soon be out of the running for CL so they will recover, and who knows with KCU...  Naenae will have a few digits crossed that KC stay on the same path.. Johnny,  what i was trying to say,   Island bay did not have it to easy. Naenae made two mistakes and good on the bay for punishing them for it. Second half Naenae had the better of the game. from a neutral on that game i do not know what surprised me most that IB are joint top of the league or that Naenae was near the bottom. either way its going to be a very intresting season.

Wharfies 7 wahts going on up the coast? anyone know

Cheers for the feedback on the game guys, I think footieguy sums it up well, we basically made two mistakes and they scored two goals. I don't think they had a single shot on goal in the second half. I agree that we had the better second half and if we hadn't conceded that ridiculous goal before half time things could be different, we also had a few players out of position as well yesterday due to injuries and absent players. I played up front and I'm usually a right back so to all the people who probably thought I was rubbish that's my excuse :):) lol. Not even going to comment on the refeering but those who were there will agree there was some dubious decisions including  a passback to the keeper from there defender that the linesman pinged us offside for I think even the ref had a chuckle about that one.

I think teams are going to find us harder to beat as the season progresses, we will only improve and get better with every game we're definitely not going to be easy beats and I'm sure the problems we do have we will work hard to overcome. Stop Out next week in Chatham Cup then in the league the next week as well so two hard games to come could really test our depth but we'll just give it everything we've got.

Stop Out / Lower Hutt was a decent enough way to spend an afternoon.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

From what I saw Monkey, a lead was acheived and Bay basicaly played the second half waiting for the whistle.  You uys did play some nice football, but had plenty  time to do so. However, the big liverpoodlian is the only real source of attack (from what I saw yesterday).

Sorry mate but constant mistakes at the back that lead to goals and only scoring 4 goals in 6 games is not a grea mix, best of luck...

And correct me if I am wrong, but didn't one of the Liverpuddlians break himself in game 2 and went home?
If it was same guy as last year (wee right winger), I personally thought he was key to that squad. If he is gone then Naenae will struggle, and by the sound of it their keeper is costing them a fair bit

Paul Wheeler was more of a central mid, the right winger (Steve Brown) was only there for the latter half of last season and isn't back this year.

I saw that you had posted and was expecting to read some form of insult to me from you!!

Yeah losing Wheeler is difficult for us, for anyone that had watched him play I'm sure they would understand why, quality player and good guy too, but we can't dwell on that and have to keep going and play to the best we can which we definitely haven't yet.

Not sure what Steve Brown is doing this year, he only played for us for half a season though, would of given Krishna and Corrales a run for their money in a Phoenix trial though, plays Semi Pro in England I think a league or two under League 2 maybe? Can't remember. Tricky little bugger he was.
