Stupid club name in country, I nominate Christchurch's FC Twenty11 (formed in 2011 when Burnside and Avon merged)

I can't decide if the Puhoi Wolfpack is good or bad.

Fuck this stupid game

They're a local 4th div social team. It's just their team name, similar to Naenae Nighthawks i guess if you want a comparison.

Three for me, and two for them.

I am sure they can fit Rovers and Rangers in there somewhere.

Hmmm.....

A few road trips there. A few unhappy club treasurers.

Shame that wasn't the other way around.

It will be like a home game for the Wainui hillbillies as Tepuni's old lady is from the Iwi Ngati Kahungunu. Tepuni has already spread the word to most of his whanau on facebook so Park Island will be more like a true Pacific Island on the day.

Sounds like it might be worth the drive up.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Good on Napier, they get enough supporters through their gates and they are a good club, no doubt the money goes towards good things for the club.

They say it only covers ground charges from the council. (Quote from Last years C/Cup semi final I forgot I went to)  No objection to ground charges here at all.

The home club from 1/4s onwards has to pay NZF a fee, At least $1500 I believe!! So only fair that clubs able to charge do

The travel costs can add up even in the regional rounds

not quite

15.1. In all rounds up to and including the semi-finals, the home team shall meet all match expenses and retain the full gate receipts, less the match fee payable to NZF as follows:

Qualifying Round to Round 3: Nil

Round 4: $250.00 + GST (8 home teams)

Quarter Finals: $350.00 + GST (4 home teams)

Semi Finals: $550.00 + GST (2 home teams)

15.2. This match fee shall be paid to NZF within seven (7) days of the game. In the event of the home team winning the match but not paying the prescribed match fee, it shall be precluded from participation in subsequent Chatham Cup competitions until all monies outstanding have been paid in full.

15.3. The match fee payable by each home drawn team from Round 4 to

And your point is?

Do you disagree with clubs charging??

No. Why would I and where did I say that?

I said with how much some clubs pay players, the match fee to NZF isn't much at all.

You didnt thats why I asked!

Just dont see the connection between you mentioning paying players and charging for Chatham Cup games

Relax mate was just a question

It was nothing to do with charging at the gate. I'm quite relaxed thank you.

It's more often that the clubs with big budgets make it to those stages so yeah, not a huge cost for them.

Fuck this stupid game

Permalink Permalink

Yeah like Manukau City last year!!

Actually dont think its a bad idea considering NZF pay for some of the travel costs from 1/4s onwards

But also think clubs should charge on the day if ground permits

Coming back for more since 2009... but yeah not quite sure what was ever negative about saying what i said, if anything it was a jab at Wests, for a club as big as they are they really shouldve known better. Now they've paid the price. So enjoy it while it lasts cuz, somehow i cant see Rovers taking the same risk

Wonder what most clubs would do in Uni's circumstances. No show? Or play a reserve side? Good oppurtunity to rest key players for the league. Cant say Ive ever heard of this happening before

Cannot very recall both sides falling foul of the rules so you may be right, could be the first time. NZ Football have confirmed Waimak will win the next round by defeault.

Common mosts years in the Cup for one team to fall fouls of the rules, was two games for a club before play in a cup tie but this now altered to 15 days after transfer, or breaking the "one club rule" in the cup in a season. History shows that when this happens the club not breaching the rules awarded the game 3 - nil, no matter what the actual result was.

Both the players have now successfully applied for and had transferred approved.

i told you to use that come back wen you were running low on ideas earlier, cant believe you actually did. The fact that i stated uneducated in the paragraph below makes me wonder if you infact are the one with the education problem. but yeah lets add illiterate to the list by now you must be feeling suicidal getting it handed to you by an, ILLITERRATE, rugby playing, uneducated, world champion drunken alcoholic, benificiary.

PS: save face and give up.

Looking at The Ultimate New Zealand Soccer Website in the 2010 Cup in Round 1 shows the following:

Te Awamutu
1-5*
Otumoetai

 *  both teams fielded ineligible players, so both disqualified

so has happened before.

What are Palmerston North Marist going to think about the beautiful surface that is Naenae 1? Who will they nominate as dick of the day? Will Naenaes captain Sam Stephens make it through the night sober? Will he turn up to the game sober? Will Hard News clean the pie cabinet out? Will there be something other than horse racing on the telly in the clubrooms?

All very important questions in the buildup to arguably the biggest game of the round.
