Two milestones I missed in recent weeks with both Cashmere Technical and Nomads becoming just the fourth and fifth club respectively to achieve 450 league points, the other clubs being Ferrymead Bays, Nelson Suburbs and Western.
Cashmere Technical the fastest to reach the '450 Club' in 181 games, Nelson Suburbs 247, Ferrymead Bays 257, Western 275 and Nomads 312.
Another individual milestone reached on Saturday with Daniel Thoms scoring his 50th MPL goal when scoring for Nomads, his 11th of the season to top the Golden Boot Ladder. Daniel now moves to 13th on the all time goal list.

Selwyn can now make the top five if they defeat Nomads in the final round by 2 clear goals. Nelson Suburbs can not afford a heavy loss against Cashmere Technical or they could miss the top five cut, if Selwyn win, as Suburbs, Nomads and Selwyn will all finish on 18 points so will be then down to goal difference.
What happened a few years back when the deciding factor was not goal difference, as that was even, but goals scored? Who and how did that come to pass?
