Well said, thank you for agreeing you have a wealth of experience and that your a different team without Clapham. He adds far too much at this level but thats how it goes.

Didnt realise how young the CB brothers are. Freaks of nature they are.

Yeah I guess the table speaks for itself that we are in a title race but we will see how we bounce back from this.

I couldnt afford the megaphone this week. Would you like to go halves?

Messiah had good things to say about you guys but I wont mention the good :p no fun in that

Yeah I try to keep up with the play, thank you for your appreciation of my local knowledge

Even from such a short distance though, your charming Scottish brogue is bordering on incomprehensible (which may be a good thing, from my point of view anyway...)

Stu must be in the squad as an interpreter, yeah? ?

Congratulations to Western's Sam Maoate-Cox who was a member of the Cook Islands Under 20 side that won the OFC Under-20 Preliminary Championships which concluded in Tonga earlier today.

The Cooks now progress into the OFC Finals in September which will be played in Vanuatu.

Fifth time in the last five years at Cashmere Technical have made the final 16. Not the same drama as the recent MPL but in the end Tech took their chances and Coastal only has limited chances to score.

Interesting couple of selections in the starting 11 for Coastal with Zac playing in the in the midfield, great to see coaches thinking outside the box, and the recent signing from FC - Evandro.

Would have been interesting if Coastal had taken out the tie as I do not think Evandro meets the rules for the Chatham Cup re the numbers of days since transferring, but I may be wrong.

Found the Chatham Cup 2016 Regulations looks like I was correct here is the appropriate section:

7.4 Club player eligibility
7.4.1 In all matches of this competition, each player, except where he has played for his club during the previous season and has not played in any match for any other club in New Zealand during the current season, must have been registered with his club for ten business days prior to the playing of any match in the competition.

Two teams that had won in the earlier rounds in the Chatty Cup this season and one in the Women's KO Cup have had their the results reversed to a 3 - 0 won to their opposition due to playing an ineligible player.

#7 - Mike White apparently fouling & "leaning" into coastal GK ???????

Tuggin on shirts apparently only go one way......

We were pretty quite wernt we, I thought thats what you wanted? On the camera? I was too busy watching the game. Was a game of very few chances wasnt it. Close affair would you agree? Mike White fouled our keeper on the first goal leaning into our GK. Then 2nd goal was master class Clapham to Siggy to Whitey. Tough to live with it. It was men against boys out there unfortunately. You guys know how to get away with SO MUCH. Centrebacks hands on the back is absolute sneaky class. Felliani gets pinged... So should they. Shawn Obriens shirt LITERALLY ripped in half and had to be replaced.... No foul...? haha

Was the first time I have seen us create so little in the first half but didnt give away too much. 2nd half we were playing all the footy knocking on the door for 45 minutes but struggled with the final pass.

What a COMPLETELY different team Tech are without Clapham on the pitch OMG. Talk about a one man team haha he brings so much. I heard he might not be playing next year? Sounds pretty mouthwatering to me. Some really old timers in there and the only young lads you seem to play are in USA....? Terris hamstrings looking more dodgy everytime I see him... Baldy up front is what 37 I was told? Surely the club cant justify flying siggy in all next season too after being outplayed? Ill be patient before i dish it all back to you. Enjoy the high times.

I didnt go to the aftermatch but im sure the Messiah was very humble and wished you guys the best of luck as always? There were constant smart remarks by yourself and the MC AGAIN though from what some friends told me?

Is it standard practice to have the main games speeches last?

Messiah said he had a number Tech board members he knows apologize to him for the attitude from Tech in the speeches as they explained thats not what they are about.... Nice to know there are some good people behind the scenes atleast. Def not humble.

Well done to the Tech players showing their individual brilliance when you needed it. Hopefully we can continue our league form. Uni will be tough this round and keen to spoil our party.

I felt Nelson were a better team the you guys. You playing up there without Clapham? Interesting.... very interesting

still not leaning in is it . Not clear cut. I thought young Eddie had a terrific game tbh, he kept CS in the game in the first half , and when Cs pushed numbers toward he dealt with our counters well

You had 5 shots the whole game to our 6

And yes White is infringing the keeper there. Seems a bit soft but some refs would certainly call that?

Some, yes. But not Lloyd Christmas who was in charge that day.

Long time listener, first time caller. Could anyone provide an opinion on Ferrymead Bays. Not here to bag anyone, just interested to see what peoples opinions are on where they are going wrong, or is it just 'one of those seasons'. On paper with their team, management and resources i would expect them to be top three at least.

After much debate I am going to have to delete my YF account. I would like everyone to know everything that I have said and say I am NOT representing the Club Coastal Spirit. I am literally a nobody that loves football and wants to see people in the club do well and for the club to succeed.

Sorry to any offense people have taken from my words....

Apparently my banter is next level and people are taking my words and perceiving the club negatively or something? I dont know. I keep hearing the words disrespect... It seems if you win a Chatham cup you need to bend down on a knee for em haha

Trump is going to be president, Britain is leaving the EU, and people are still worrying about being "offended"???

It's football. Plain and simple. It's not an old boys club, where you get put on the naughty spot and told off for being too rude to someone older than you ffs

"Dammit Train! There is an order of things, and you're making people ask dangerous questions. We can't have that! You need to be polite, and respectful, so now you have to bugger off. Quietly will do nicely, there's a good chap. Oh, and a wee apology to the delicate souls you made cry. Excellent!"

STOP TURNING UP TO ASB PISSED and embarrassing yourself. Accusing people of slagging teams for clapping and cheering then abusing them for 30 minutes in front of everyone hahahaha clearly rattled!!!

loco and loco 2

Your barked up the wrong tree if you think we wanted you banned. Stix and stones and all that . We know your the mesiahs media spokesman . I can't afford one that's why I do it myself.

Keep up the good work as for el loco 2 , pissed I had my 12 year old son there as he loves football. I had a a nice cold speights( got to back the sponsors) from Kiosk.

As for the sideline banter nothing up with that, but really Mpl players and thier coach laughing and applauding the 15 year old opposition Gk because she mis kicked a pass back . If it was my daughter I would be having more than a word, do you see us rubbing it in at senior level when one of your gks makes a mistake. Slushy me Old mate , how would you react if I came down and laughed and cheered when one of your young lads made a mistake.

Good to have you back el loco

ermm, what has this got to do with me? I wasn't even at the game?

But I would be most surprised if you were to turn up and laugh at my young keepers, yes, if that helps?

I've watched a number of Reserves play full games or part games then step up and do another 90 for the CCL.

Selwyn v Parklands earlier in season both teams had a number of players do it, in fact both reserve teams had their first team coaches playing due to numbers!

Yet Waimak defaulted at half time against Parklands because 3 or 4 players had to play 1st team, and a couple of these guys didn't even get on!

Now Christchurch Utd are defaulting due to lack of players. Is this not an opportunity for the likes of 16-18 year olds to step up from the club?

Last time you posted this comment (waimak vs Parklands reserves) I pointed out that it was factually incorrect. But no surprises that keep perpetuating the myth. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

And I don't think that Lee Padmore would have been making up the numbers to keep the reserve team going at Selwyn. He's a quality player who can add depth to their ranks and has been working his way back from a serious injury. I think of all the clubs them and Nomads have the most depth. But other CCL clubs struggle at times. Agree that 16 - 18 year olds should get a go, but in some cases, e.g. Waimak, that is their first team.

Seems that United are seriously depleted at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if their reserves don't see out the season. Don't think they have any 16-18 year olds coming through except for some already playing first team or reserves.

Lee was coming back after a year out injured with a broken leg. Anyone needs game time after that and he can't expect to get match fitness playing CCL, which to be fair is a step up from the reserve league of it.

Maybe something in the water out here as Lee is the 2nd player back after a year out injured.

So why forfeit a game at half time then when you had 12 players in the first half? There is no excuse for it, especially when legally you should play with 8 players before a game is abandone
