Chahoo!!!!

Coastal obviously fighting fire with fire and flying players in for games.

More like fighting fire with a tea light candle ?

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

Which means my son better play some decent balls into that box for GT to get on to!
Only a 2-1 win. Must have been a tough game for top of table taking on near bottom.

Only Big Cheese, Benchwarmer, Scottie Rd and Bumblebee are sitting on 3/3 at this point. Benchwarmer went Tech, the others went draw.

C'mon Nelson!

Stepping away from Prem's and qualifying league for a moment.

All social leagues coming to an end this weekend, gonna be some decent match-ups!

Div 1 culminates with a top of the table clash between Universities and Halswell with the winner securing the league title!

Forget premier league footy this week, Div1 Ilam fields is where it's at!

Stats after this weekends games:

Ferrymead Bays collected their 150th MPL win

The 200th goal was scored this season

FC Twenty11 collected their 10th win (from 57 games)

1st time Cashmere Technical have failed to score this season and just the 9th time they have failed to score in 99 MPL games

Just the second clean sheet of the season for Nelson Suburbs

The round brought up the 500th away win since the MPL started in 2002

In the next round Cashmere Technical will play their 100th MPL game and Coastal Spirit need one more goal to notch up 200 goals with Universities nearly oe goal to bring up their ton.

Speaking to a couple of Suburbs supporters who were t the game and sounds like Tech had the better of the game - hit the post, had shots cleared on the line plus had a good shout turned down for a pen when Coey brought down an attacker.

Will be interested to read the Nelson Mail's take on the game which should be on line shortly.

well played Nelson ,superb game, on another day we could have nicked it, but it's a tough place to get a result. Coey was superb , but to a man we were superb.

I've just asked the board if they are pieing me tonight could they make it a steak and cheese one , as I'm absolutely starving.

I would just like to take this moment to thank our good friends Nelson for their heroic performance. Although I expected them to win it sounds like it was a real battle. That Coey guy has got the biggest kick I have ever seen in real life.

Seeing Allwhites82 has an embedded love for Tech, maybe he can pull out some stats on how many games in the last few years Tech havnt won when Clapham isnt playing? Think they lost without him round 1 as well....

I wasnt at Coastals game unfortunately but was made aware that was Uni FIRST home loss of the season.... Love that.

So looking at the table if our beloved Coastal can win the next 6 games then they win the league? Right on!!!!!

Big games at Cuthberts start this Saturday. COME JOIN THE TRAIN!!! This club is the best drug. OH MY GAAAAWD!!!!

From what I heard your lads were lucky to walk away with points, but well done all the same. Techs result certainly does make it an interesting race for the title!

With the ludicrous amount of players Coastal have unavailable at the moment against a good Uni team I think thats probably up there next to the Nelson win for result of the season

Yeah come on down to Cuthberts Tim Tam. Train will be present against Bays to keep the dream alive

Fresh news from Messiah was that Jacob Allen is out for the season as he undergoes surgery next week...

He also mentioned us supporters have been invited to play against the 1st team lads in a game of laser strike.

Lifes really good right now. Ill enjoy it while it lasts

Sorry Train do not keep stats of who plays which games. Unsure why you think I have embedded love for Tech, but you may be interested to know that in the past when clubs had paid up membership for supporters I had membership at both New Brighton and Rangers, never been a paid up member at Tech, but I have plenty of good mates there like I have at all MPL years in both Christchurch and Nelson.

Yes was a little sparse on the side-line at Ilam Fields yesterday, I was wondering if the Train went to the wrong station.

Also whoever made you aware that it was Universities first lost at home this season they are a little off track as Suburbs defeated them 2 - 0.

Would be great to meet up with you one day, look me up on the side lines on day, but to help you out I am not always at Tech games.

If Coastal do win their next six games they will be worthy champions.

Hello Mr AW82,

Yes forgive me for the confusion. It was Uni first loss at ILAM Park which is their fortress. I believe that nelson game was at ASB :)

Oh Rangers and Brighton? Right on. I havnt been around these ways for long enough to know that sorry.

I guess we can keep a seat on the train for you for now then.... Just didnt like the way you went about your business over the Evandro saga but I guess thats done and dusted now.

Play on says the referee. No foul

Train you are Iuck, thankfully like Coastal who have been keeping player stats for season's so do Cashmere Technical so hear is the answer to your question.

Since Aaron Clapham signed for Tech, Tech have played 63 games which Claps has played in 39 games, with a 30 Win, 5 draw and 4 lost record, in the 24 games that the he did not line up in Tech had a 20 Win, 1 draw and 3 loss record.

So the record is slightly better when his does not start, 2.54 points per game without him and 2.44 point per game with him.

Cheers

The Nelson lost was on the turf @ Kendall Park. ASB is so last year, now just English Park, the home of footy and in a past life, softball. marching, cycling and speedway.  (ASB have taken their ball and $$$$ and run away and turned it into a rugby ball)
