Marist have scored the most goals in the central league (51 from 10 games), conceeded the least, and have not lost a game.  They have also progressed to the Quarter's of the National Knockout Cup. That's how good they are.

1v2  this weekend. A win for Marist and they look home and hosed. A win for Massey might open the door for them

Looking at the draw for 14-15th July there is a full round of games, start of 3rd round?, so plenty of points for all teams to chase.

what you mean? there is only 2 rounds

Thats what I would have thought, the draw I have for 18th July from CF has Massey v PNHS and a full round of games. I know Massey have played them twice already.

Na they're the games that were scheduled to play earlier in the season but were postponed for the first round of the NZF KO Cup.

apparently 2-2 in Massey v Marist. Dont think a draw was good enough for Marist.
UH beat Utd by about 4. Seatoun beat LH five one or something. Karori lost to PNG 2-1 damn it (sorry Utd/LH).

WTF - Karori losing to PNG? What happened there?

hmm. yes. um. struggled to get decent shots away on the heavy ground. whereas their two (both from same player) came off the crossbar and hit our keepers head and went in. sheesh.

2-1 to Wharf. Pretty dreary until the last 20, but was worth it.

Marist get a goal somewhat against the run of play (but a good chipped finish from their forward) to the massive delight and rejoicing of Marist players and supporters. Wharf heads seemingly down, and then straight from the kickoff Wharf sends a long ball to the top of the Marist box, Renee steams through and completely flattens one of the Marist centre-backs, and hits the loose ball on the half-volley right in the bottom corner. Great finish and rejoicing for the Wharfies now, while Marist coaches and players spew fire on the officials. Goal stands, 1-1. Then some 10 minutes later, Renee turns her defender around races into the box from the left and finishes into the bottom of the opposite corner, 2-1. Marist press hard for an equaliser for the last 10, but are unable to make an impression, full-time 2-1.

The Wharfies extremely happy at the full-time whistle, Marist not so much. Overall the Wharf had the better of the game for most part, but can see how Marist may feel a bit miffed...but Renee really threw herself around in the last 20 and fought very (sometimes maybe a bit too) hard and deserved her goals in the end.el grapadura2010-07-30 22:12:34

I believe Marist beat Seatoun by 4 or 5-1.
Upper Hutt beat Karori 4-1.

Marist                        14 10 2 2 59 17 32
Upper Hutt City       14 10 2 2 53 16 32

Not vintage - but we'll take it, and certainly not as nerve wracking as last year!

Now everyone make sure they get out to Kilbernie next Sunday to support Marist knock over Three Kings!

A cracker of a game at Harcourt yesterday. UH down 1-0 at half time with Karori having to defend the muddy goal at the north end in the second half. Both teams were coming to terms with the pitch and the weather. The longer the game carried on the muddy the northern goal box became to the point that the ref couldn't find "the spot" when a penalty was awarded. He eventually had to "step" it out. Congrats to both teams for playing footy and to both goalies for not freezing to death in the goals (also for putting their bodies on the line stopping some well hit shots). popz2010-08-24 10:31:36
