Sucks that there is no Rufer but it was unlikely with previous selections and the need to add in Sydney players.
A real shame they had to select the bulk of this team prior to the semi-finals... Rufer, Surman, Kostal all terribly unlucky and if you picked a squad today they'd all be there. I guess the Aussies don't want TOO many kiwis in the A-League All Stars.
A lot more reason to watch the All-Stars game now with those additions. What a fantastic time to shine for Paulsen & Old though. Reward for an excellent season. Great reward for all of them though to be fair.

How do we tune into the game?
In Australia it's on Paramount+ and 10, and I thought it would be on Sky Sport in NZ but checking the tv schedules it looks like it isn't going to be? Maybe the All Stars games rights are sold separately to the rest of the league?

This article says Sky is showing it, but I ain't seeing it on the schedule, but they are showing two old games between Wellington Perth and Wellington Adelaide.

No Kosta, no Surman, no Payne? Wootton, Old and Kraev. The Newcastle team has Trippier, Hall and Anderson on the bench and that’s it for the regular first teamers in the PL. No one starting is a regular PL player.
Great work from Old in the buildup to the second goal but this is a farce. These Newcastle children don't care about this game and the all stars are far too good for them
