Good round for teams coming back from two goal deficit and scoring four goals!

I was just thinking that.  Maybe if CCM had gone 2 nil up, we may have scored 4.  I would have taken that an day of the week

Western, Adelaide and Jets finding form is good news for us.

How this wasn't flagged by the VAR, I will never know.

Disappointed they should be, surprised not. Love Uli to bits but even if it is belated the ban is totally appropriate.

Irankunda adds to his show reel of stunners with a 20th minute goal against MacArthur. 1-0

Hope Adelaide win, would be good for them to be in the hunt for finals when they play CCM next week.

Also, despite having two of my favourite ex-Nix players in Uli and Lewis I wouldn't regret seeing them miss the playoffs, which is a distinct possibility if they don't pull out something special in their last two and a half very difficult games.

Nicolaou's yellow card upgraded to red after VAR review. Chucked a swinging arm into Irankunda's jaw. Mac down to ten men.

Reds go to sleep at the back and sub Piol makes it 1-1.

Tommy Smith! Header from the corner and Mac are ahead with just few minutes to go.

Penalty for the Reds. Unlucky handball.

....and Irankunda's kick is saved by Kurto. That'll be curtains for the Reds finals chances I think.

Won $30 on the Nix last night, so invested in some happiness insurance in case Western can't do the job for us.

Mariners will win this comfortably. Best hope for us is that Adelaide manage to trip them up next week.

Mariners name a strong team. So much for my optimistic view they may rest a few guys before their long haul to Kyrgyzstan.

 Vamos Bitumens.

The Mariners are well drilled and fit too. They have shown no signs of struggle with the extra matches recently.

On another note, WU can't sell out their temporary base lol
Edit: But it's 100 times better than any other stadiums they've played in over the years

They had a whole week of rest for this one. The struggle for the starting players will be Adelaide game, as 3 games in 8 days plus the 50 hr return trip

CCM fielding  a strong team tonight, but have not done anything special as yet against this very pedestrian WUN side. Just conserving energy and trying to win at the lowest cost possible?

Saving it for the 94th minute....

My guess is they would have wanted to put this game to bed as early as possible, then sub off players.

This stadium is embarrassing.

If we had this at Porirua Park or the NZCIS, we would be over the moon.

Wtf? How is he supposed to get out of the way of the defender? What a ridiculous yellow card.

If he doesn't appeal for an obvious non penalty, he doesn't get the card. 0-0

I’m all for carding simulation, but I didn’t think he simulated at all. Sure he made a meal of it, but there was at least contact.

People have to get real. If crowds continue to go the way they have clubs will soon struggle to pay the bills and already are now. Most ALM stadiums are simply too big. Smaller venues like this are more sustainable

WU doing much better than I expected but CCM are strangely limp today. Suspect they will come out with a lot more purpose 2nd half.

Still, some slight cause for hope.
