Bummer, well I don't see that happening.

Is there still a chance that City could miss out??

WSW need to beat Victory & hope City doesn't beat Western.

Adelaide has been officially eliminated.

Ends 0-0. Hopefully Macarthur vs Sydney is more entertaining.

That seems ridiculous. Last game Victory had a guy kick a guy in the head without a red and this is maybe a foul.

The 10 men of Macarthur take the lead just before half time. 1-0

He gets the red cuz its studs making contact above the ankle. Something they cracked down on for player safety. The issue here is the force involved isn't considered. There was minimal force, so a yellow would have been fair.

And we gotta stop using slow mo for the VAR, it makes the contact look much worse than the reality of it.

Mental decision. The hypocrisy of it illustrated a few minutes later when Brattan waves an arm at Lewis and catches him in the throat with an arm and doesn’t get called for a foul.

Smith does raise an arm to push him away but all the contact was initiated by Fabio. The way he acted afterwards was pathetic as well. 1-0

Geez. Uffie loses the plot and the game 9 against 11 without scarcely creating a decent chance.

I think this is something we definitely experienced with Uffie- a famine or a feast.

If I was being kind to the Sydney players I’d say similarly to how unjust penos are often missed, they had reservations about the cards and couldn’t put their whole heart into the game.

Macarthur hold on for a 1-0 win. Sydney was absolutely toothless in attack tonight, they could have played vs 7 players and wouldn't have scored.

So Smith & Vujica to both miss the Nix game at the ROF next weekend?

Nice bonus if so. Smith will be gutted to miss a rare chance to play in NZ.

Hopefully Nix draw MAC (4th) in the 2 legged semis. Nix have a pretty good record against them from memory, and with their minimal fans Campbelltown is hardly an imposing place to play. Very different to AAMI Park or Allianz Stadium, (SFS).

Way too many different permutations at this stage, to say whether drawing MAC is likely, but it would be a best case scenario I reckon.

Macarthur could still finish 3rd, 4th or 5th. They are very much the odd one out in the Top 6 with their +0 Goal Difference.

Minimal force? He was sliding in! It was not some ‘he had to put his foot somewhere’ situation. If you slide in, stuts up and hit someone it’s a red on the shin. You could also see the stut marks with blood on his skin. Not even the player complained, he went right off the pitch.

So Kosta needs to bag a hatrick in both games?

I turned off straight after we lost on Friday night. Did Kosta pick up any Alex Tobin points? Lolley picked up 1 to get 4 points ahead of Kosta in the Alex Tobin ladder. Not sure if Arslan picked up any.

Sorry, missed that. Yes, that is very harsh. I guess it’s in line with the other calls they made.

Brattan is one of Sydney's protected players, he gets away with so many niggly little fouls - never gets a red, yet is one of the grubbiest players around.

Rufer's missed pen was a downer, but pretty sure the result was a draw.

Partly the reason he's such a good player. I've got huge respect for him but yeah thosé 'dark arts' he gets away with annoy me too.

I know Sydney were poor but you have to take your hat off to Macarthur, not normally a team you associate with gritty, backs to the wall performances. It was terrific defending.

Talking the Alex Tobin points here. If Kosta and Arslan didn't pick up points, only Nisbet can catch Lolley for the award.

[Edit: oh, I just realized I said lost in my post. My bad]

The nil-all draw between VUC vs Brisbane Roar was one of the most entertaining scoreless draws I've seen in a while.

I am still scratching my head a bit and don't know what to read into the outcome of the Macarthur - Syd FC game last night. Even if the first half was even at best, in the second half I expected The Smurfs to give the Bulls a proper pasting, especially in the last 15 minutes, let alone in the very generous injury time.
Yes some teams lift when they are reduced to ten men; but it is hard to play with nine against a team that has some decent strikers like Lolley.

Getting paid to play football. Perth prices and weather. First step overseas. Definitely could be worse. 🤷‍♂️
