If we get Melbourne City in the semi, it's going to be a great test for everyone but particularly Rufer and Pennington. Rufer can Prove his Serie A credentials.
Only way we can face City is in the Grand Final.

Yes. Of course you're right. 🙄
My age has definitely caught up with me.

I was about to say time was running out for Victory.  But then bam, you looking for this!
05 May 08:55
Awesome.
05 May 08:55
Get the eff in!!! 1-1
05 May 08:57
MV have been good this half without creating anything, but they've hung in there and deserved that goal.
05 May 08:58
Who was that victory left back ball watching!

Oooh, drama. VAR checking for a handball for the Victory. 1-1 atm
05 May 09:04
Much as I want Victory to win that would've been a cruel way to decide it. Extra time here we go.

What are the rules regarding yellows and suspensions in the finals series? Were they wiped before the finals started? Can you get suspended for the semifinal second leg if you get a yellow in the EF & semifinal first leg?

Pretty sure that yellows were wiped before the finals series. Suspensions carry over in the finals series.

Izzo has been absolutely immense tonight. 1-1

Suspensions from the regular season carry over, yellow cards get wiped. In the Finals series, you get a 1 match ban after 3 yellows. So impossible for a CCM/Nix player to miss the Grand Final from yellow card accumulation. Sydney & tonight's winner have that worry.

1-1

City down to ten now.

Seems pretty likely to go to pens.
05 May 09:42
Curtis Good gets a second yellow and is off. Ten vs ten now but that barely matters with only a couple mins left. 1-1
05 May 09:47
Well if City end up winning the shoot out, I don't think they will be able to stop CCM.

And now they need him to be just a bit more immense.
05 May 09:55
Izzo!!!
05 May 09:58
Izzo saves 2 and now taking a penalty
05 May 09:59
I wonder who the man of the match will be?
05 May 10:00
Leigh Broxham pulls a Megan Rapinoe
05 May 10:01
Oh dear, DJ Brox misses the chance to win
05 May 10:02
Izzo wins it for the Victory.

CCM vs Sydney
Phoenix vs Victory
05 May 10:04
I hope the Phoenix are doing penalty practice extras after that!

Great result. We get our favoured opponents. They have a key player suspended. And extra time isn’t ideal for them (though plenty of recovery time).
You cant just pick and choose which laws to follow. Sure Id like to tape a baseball game without the express written consent of major league baseball, but thats just not the way it works.-Hank Hill

What a game by Izzo, he basically won it for Victory.  and I love Syd vs CCM, they can do it.
05 May 10:06
Practice multiple ways as well.  Keep the keeper guessing.

extra time with 9 men will have taken a toll. Will likely mean only light training this week.

I imagine Machach will be suspended for more than the one match because of the violent conduct involved?

2 match ban is the minimum for violent conduct.

I'd imagine they'll appeal and who knows how that will go. I remember Berisha getting his ban for kicking out at Durante overturned, despite a lot of video evidence, so that he'd be available for Victory in the finals.

That guy kept rolling over and over.  It was embarrassing.  No wonder some people can't take footballers seriously.   Someone should make a meme out of that rolling.
05 May 11:24
From what I've seen of this game, Victory did not win it; M City lost it. They should have put the game away in the first half.
I wonder if the red for Machach will be appealed / overturned.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

After the Machach red I pretty much gave up hope of Victory coming through that game - glad they proved me wrong

Victory for us, Sydney for CCM, best outcome possible for mine. Victory looked really weak on attack. Only reason they were still in that game by half time was Izzo and some desparate defence. City should have been 4 up!
If we can go to AAMI and grab a goal early I doubt Victory will score against us, Fornaroli is really the only concern with Machach out for at least the first game.

Wouldnt it be amazing if Syndey do a number on CCM and we have them in the home final!

I would not expect MV to be an easy opponent even without Machach, especially at AAMI.

Paulsen needs some sort of strategy to protect his notes.
